But nobody recognized them. The pair were even better–looking than most celebrities, with far more refined presence.
Some people snapped photos secretly, avoiding their faces and only capturing their side profiles and backs.
Once posted online, the pictures quickly blew up with excited comments.
[That jawline… is this even real? I need his full name in one minute!]
[No face shot, but he’s already so handsome. Is he a new idol?]
[The girl’s stunning too! They look perfect together.]
[Right, her gentle vibe balances out his sharp aura so well.]
[Hey that’s my girl! Honey, I’ve been looking everywhere for you!]
[Please, that man’s my husband. You take your girl and let me shop with mine.]
[Wake up, both of you. It’s not even bedtime yet.]
Since everyone was free for the holidays, the photos went viral and even landed on the trending list–low on the chart, but still gathering plenty of heat.
Julian and Quinn had no idea at all.
They’d bought so many things. At checkout, Julian didn’t argue over paying.
Quinn swiped her card and felt a little sting at how much she’d spent.
It was a fortune!
But she knew she could earn it back.
A few days earlier, she’d met a client whose daughter was getting engaged in the spring. She’d asked Quinn to design a custom engagement dress.
Quinn had already shown her the first draft, and the client loved it.
She would start making it after the holidays.
These custom, one–on–one designs usually came from wealthy clients, so Quinn would make a nice profit.
Once she advanced to the semifinals of the design competition and placed well, her situation would only get better.
When they got back to the apartment, Quinn thought Julian would leave right away.
But he carried the bags inside, put on the new slippers, and neatly organized everything in the fridge.

Quinn watched, still unable to believe this was Julian–the all–powerful figure who dominated the business world–doing housework.
She’d seen so many people online complain about men who barely earned money yet refused to lift a finger at home, acting like chores were only women’s work.
Compared to those guys, Julian seemed even more outstanding.
He was leagues above those average, overconfident men.
Once Julian finished tidying up, Quinn hurried to say, “Go wash your hands.”
“I’ll cook,” he said. “What do you want for lunch?”
Quinn looked surprised. “You’re not leaving?”
“I have a dinner event tonight, so I have to go then. Can I stay until this afternoon?” He smiled at her. “Mind if I have lunch here?”
“Of
course not.”
Julian asked again, “What would you like?”
“Anything’s fine,” Quinn said. “You’ve been working so hard lately. Won’t cooking tire you out?”
“Nope,” Julian said. “I’m in good shape. I work out every day-”
He glanced at her and added, “You don’t have to worry about me.”
Quinn was speechless.
That wasn’t what she meant at all. She just wanted him to rest.
Julian started cooking. Quinn couldn’t really help, so she just handed him things occasionally.
Still, they worked together smoothly.
For two people who liked each other, even the most ordinary moments felt sweet and full of happiness.
