Chapter 318 Fateful Run–In
The two held hands and enjoyed the movie.
The girl who’d posted them online didn’t check her phone either, completely focused on the film.
Finished
When the movie ended, Julian and Quinn headed out, with the bodyguards quietly following behind them.
Outside the theater, Julian asked, “What else do you feel like doing?”
Quinn looked at him. “Don’t you have that event to get to?”
“No rush. Want to walk around a bit?”
“There are too many people, and I don’t need anything…”
Julian studied her. “Did you get Lucy a Christmas present?”
“I did.” Quinn nodded. “So we can head out.”

“What about me?” Julian said. “Can I ask for a Christmas gift too?”
“A Christmas gift?” Quinn felt her face warm up. “I… I didn’t think about it…”
She hadn’t assumed they were close enough to exchange gifts yet, even though she would’ve happily gotten him something.
It just hadn’t crossed her mind.
Julian pretended to be disappointed. “And you still haven’t made that shirt you promised me…”
“I haven’t forgotten!” Quinn said quickly. “I just haven’t finished it yet.”
She was being too perfectionistic, wanting it to be absolutely perfect for him, so the work was taking much longer.
“As long as you haven’t forgotten,” he said. “So can I get a Christmas present first?”
“Of course you can,” Quinn said. “What do you like?”
Julian smiled. “Anything from you.”
Quinn looked down, her ears turning pink.
Julian led her toward the lower floors. “Let’s go look.”
Quinn felt a little awkward.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to buy him something–she just had no idea what to get for someone like
him.

Chapter 318 Fateful Run–In
Everything he wore and used was already the finest quality.
What would even be appropriate?
She’d just have to browse and see.
By an ironic twist of fate, they ran straight into Rosalie.
She’d met up with Chase.
Finished
Both were in a bad mood, so they’d had coffee together and complained about Quinn. Rosalie had then put on a sweet act, offering to buy Chase a Christmas present.
In previous years, Chase would’ve sent her a gift long before the holiday.
Clearly, that wasn’t happening this time.
Rosalie planned to buy something first, making Chase feel obligated to get her something even more expensive in return.
He’d never cared much about money and spent freely.
Whenever he gave gifts, they were never cheap.
Keeping up appearances in the wealthy social circle was tough for Rosalie.
If her clothes, jewelry, and bags weren’t updated to the latest styles, she’d be mocked.
She couldn’t afford that kind of lifestyle on her own.
And among all the men who chased her, Chase was by far the wealthiest.
No one else gave such lavish gifts.
So she’d been plotting this all along.
But Chase said, “You don’t have to get me anything. I’m not in the mood.”
He still couldn’t get Julian’s words out of his head.
Even though he’d accepted the truth, he refused to come to terms with it.
Quinn and Julian…
How could these two ever end up together?
Rosalie felt a flash of anger at his response.
But things were different now.
Before, Chase would’ve noticed the slightest change in her mood and rushed to comfort her.
