Chapter 319 Interrupted Alone Time
Now even if she seethed with anger, Chase didn’t care at all.
Finished
Once Rosalie had thought that if she ever broke things off with Chase, she could just snap her fingers and he’d come running back.
But clearly, things were nowhere near that simple.
When Chase said he was done, he meant it–completely.
Were all his feelings fake this whole time?
The thought stung and left her feeling wronged.
“What’s done is done; we can fix it. It’s Christmas–we should get gifts anyway.”
“Nothing. Don’t bother,” Chase said. “Besides, I never use the stuff you buy me.”
In the past, Rosalie had always wanted his expensive presents, so she’d felt obligated to give something in
return.
She never had much money to spend on luxury gifts, but she’d always given something small and personal, calling it a token of her feelings.
Things like heart–shaped seashells, dried flowers she’d pressed, a little painting, or other handmade trinkets.
They were worth almost nothing, but she’d called them heartfelt.
Back then, Chase hadn’t cared about the price–he’d loved anything from her.
Looking back now, he’d given her gifts worth tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, only to get cheap trinkets in return.
He’d been such a fool.
And yet at the time, he’d been completely satisfied.
Rosalie’s pride prickled. “Just tell me what you want. I’ll buy it for you.”
“I don’t need anything…”
Just then, Rosalie’s phone buzzed. A friend had messaged her, asking if the girl in a post was her sister.
Rosalie opened it quickly and saw that Quinn and Julian had been photographed together.
After reading through it, she turned to Chase at once. “Does Julian have an arranged fiancée?”
Chase blinked, then shook his head. “I never heard that.”
“They’re saying he does–her name’s Clara.”

“Oh, her.” Chase said. “Maybe. I’ve heard the name before.”
“If that’s true… then Quinn’s really the other woman?”
“What?” Chase froze. “What does this have to do with Quinn?”
“Julian’s already engaged, but she’s still hanging all over him. What else would you call it?”
Chase snapped, “Julian’s the one pursuing her. She hasn’t even said yes yet.”
“He has a fiancée and he’s still chasing someone else?”
“Business marriages are just for show. Everyone does their own thing behind closed doors–it’s an unwritten rule.”
Rosalie pressed, “Does Quinn know about this?”
“Stop asking. I don’t know, and I’m sick of talking about it!”
Rosalie was furious at how impatient he was, but she could do nothing about it.
Thankfully, the whole scandal about Quinn was blowing up online, and everyone was waiting for Clara to speak up.
Then they’d know for sure if Quinn was really the other woman.
Rosalie was certain she was.
A man of Julian’s status is expected to have a fiancée.
“Quinn?”
Chase’s voice pulled her back to reality.
She looked up and saw Julian and Quinn walking toward them, holding hands.
They are shopping together… holding hands?
That means they are definitely together.
Rosalie’s gaze burned with barely contained jealousy.
Chase didn’t hold back. He hurried over, bright with surprise at the chance meeting. “Quinn, you’re shopping too?”
Quinn never expected to run into Chase and Rosalie here.
Julian frowned even deeper.
I finally get some alone time with Quinn–why does everyone have to ruin it?
