Ditched the Cheater, Pregnant by My Mr. Right
Chapter 323 Losing Her Only Support
If she lost Chase, her biggest financial backer, life would get really tough for her.
The Lane family wasn’t badly off, actually–they were better off than most people.
Victor and Elaine only had one precious daughter, Rosalie, and they earned well enough.

Quinn herself had never relied on their money; her scholarships over the years had covered all her expenses.
So all their attention and savings had gone to Rosalie.
It was more than enough to support her lifestyle abroad.
But Rosalie wasn’t satisfied with just food and a roof over her head.
She wanted luxury, the high–class socialite image.
Without someone like Chase funding her, she couldn’t keep up that persona at all.
She had to find a way to fix things with him.
But right now, it felt nearly impossible.
Why has Chase suddenly woken up and turned against me?
What canI do to make him listen to me again?
It was a real puzzle.
Still, Rosalie refused to believe there was no way out.
But no matter what she tried in the days that followed, Chase ignored her completely.
That aside, the holiday was approaching, and Julian returned to the Sterling Manor.
Online, the gossip was still spreading.
Quinn only found out about it after Julian left, when Lucy called her.
“Quinn, you and Julian were photographed on your date!” Lucy huffed. “These people are ridiculous! They’re saying Clara is his fiancée, but that’s not even true!”
She quickly corrected herself, worried she’d upset Quinn. “I know Clara is from the same circle, but Julian never said he’d marry her. Don’t get the wrong idea.”
Even Lucy had once assumed Julian would enter an arranged marriage.
She’d said as much to Quinn more than once.
That was part of why Quinn had held back her feelings for so long.

She’d thought they were from completely different worlds, too mismatched to ever be together.
If things hadn’t unfolded the way they did, she never would have believed she’d let Julian pursue her.
But now that the drama was online, she felt surprisingly calm.
“Let people say what they want,” Quinn said. “Don’t get upset. I’m not.”
“Why not?” Lucy insisted. “It’s all lies! I’ve been trying to explain online, but no one believes me!”
Quinn smiled. “There’s new drama every day online. This’ll blow over soon.”
“No! I’m gonna fix this!”
Before Quinn could say anything else, Lucy hung up.
Quinn shook her head and tried to put the whole thing out of her mind.
After running into Rosalie at the mall, she’d lost all motivation to buy Julian a gift anyway.
