Chapter 341 A Calculated Confrontation
She was actually dating Julian now.
They were really together.
And it felt even better than she’d ever imagined.
Most of all, being with Julian felt easy and natural.
It wasn’t that Julian didn’t want to be closer to her.
But he could see how nervous she was.
Their relationship hadn’t exactly jumped overnight, but for Quinn, taking this step had still been incredibly hard.
She’d only just gotten out of a marriage, one that had hurt her deeply.
On top of that, everything she’d been through had made her wary of getting close to anyone.
No matter how much Julian wanted to, he would never make her uncomfortable.
Just the thought of her feeling pressured was enough to hold him back entirely.
Julian stayed busy over the next two days.

Chase, meanwhile, went visiting relatives with his family and finally found a chance for Rosalie to meet Julian.
Rosalie had been doing well these past few days-she’d wrapped Chase right around her finger again.
Guilt-ridden, Chase had gone back to treating her almost like he used to.
He’d even sent her several expensive gifts to ease his conscience.
Rosalie was in high spirits, carefully planning exactly what to say to Julian-how to put Quinn down while making herself look good.
Their last meeting hadn’t exactly left him with a favorable impression of her.
When she spotted Julian, she hurried over.
Her carefully applied makeup, soft loose curls, and elegant outfit gave her a sophisticated, icy-charm look.
Julian glanced at her and kept walking.
Rosalie rushed after him. “Mr. Sterling, wait.”
Julian stopped, his gaze cold and distant. “What is it?”
“I need to speak with you about my sister,” Rosalie said, slightly out of breath-a deliberate touch.

As she spoke, her chest rose and fell, emphasizing her figure.
Julian didn’t so much as glance at it. “Spit it out.”
Rosalie said. “I misunderstood you before, and I may have said some things I shouldn’t have. I’m truly sorry.”
“Apology accepted.” Julian said. “Anything else?”
“Yes. Afraid he’d leave, she hurried on. “My mom called Quinn a few days ago. She told Mom she has a boyfriend-someone from the countryside, no car, no house. I can’t reach her, so I wanted to ask you… is that true?”
Even Julian was caught off guard for a second.
Quinn really said that?
A countryside boyfriend?
No car, no house?
Rosalie pressed, “If you’re seeing Quinn, then what was that all about? If you’re not… then I won’t bother you.”
Julian said flatly, “We are together.”
Rosalie’s jaw tightened so hard her back teeth ached.
She’d prayed he would say they weren’t involved.
Instead, she got the exact opposite.
What does Quinn have that makes her deserve someone like him?
I didn’t even get a chance.
Rosalie forced a smile. “If you’re dating, then why would she tell my mom something like that?”
Julian said, “I don’t know if what you’re saying is even true. But if it is… I’m sure Quinn had her reasons.”
