Chapter 346 The First Real Kiss
Finished
Only later, once they were truly together, would Quinn learn that his gentlemanly act was just a cover.
But right now, she had no idea.
Julian’s restraint only made her feel touched and cared for.
She took a deep breath, stepped forward, stood on her tiptoes, and pressed a quick kiss to the corner of his mouth.
Julian froze completely.
That one small kiss was all her courage could handle.
She started to pull back, but a strong arm wrapped around her waist.
She gasped as he pulled her tightly against him.
Their bodies pressed together, and she could hear the thud of both their hearts.
Julian leaned down while she tilted her head back.
The space between them vanished.
Quinn’s heart raced.
He’d kissed her before when she was drunk, but that had been in a haze. This was nothing like it.
Her heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would jump out of her chest. She clutched his shirt tightly.
“Nervous?” he smiled. “Where’d that courage go just now?”
“I… I should go inside,” she stammered.
“Not so fast,” Julian said. “You kissed me. You can’t just leave after that.”
“What… what do you want?”
“To kiss you back, of course.”
Quinn thought he’d just give her a light peck, like she had.
She had no idea Julian never did anything halfway.
He cradled the back of her head and pressed his lips firmly against hers.
Quinn’s mind went completely blank.
Blood rushed to her head, and her whole body trembled.
Julian’s heart was racing too.

Chapter 346 The First Real Kiss
Finished
The drunk kisses and the accidental one on the yacht didn’t count.
This was their first real kiss-sober, intentional, and overwhelming.
Time blurred. He only pulled away when he thought he might lose control.
Thanks to Quinn, this wasn’t his first kiss.
He’d already picked up a few things when she was out of it.
And men, it seemed, had a natural talent for this.
For Quinn, the kiss left her breathless.
They’d kissed several times before, but never like this-fully aware, weak in the knees, barely able to stand.
Julian lifted her and carried her to the sofa.
She lay there, her cheeks flushed bright pink.
Julian knelt on one knee, leaning over her, pressing soft, repeated kisses to her lips.
Quinn was so flustered her toes curled.
She was trapped gently but firmly in his hold, with nowhere to go.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want this, or that she was only shy.
Julian was just too intense.
One kiss felt like a storm sweeping her away.
He kissed her like he wanted to devour her whole.
“Enough…” she whispered, almost like a whine.
Julian smiled softly.
Kissing her while she was completely sober was infinitely better.
When she’d been out of it before, he’d been the only one feeling this rush.
