As they headed downstairs, Julian wrapped an arm around Quinn’s waist, and she leaned almost all her weight against him.

It wasn’t that she was being dramatic-she truly had no strength left.

When they reached the elevator, Julian asked, “Want me to carry you?”

Quinn shot him a glare and stepped out on her own.

Julian followed with an amused smile.

The more time they spent together, the more he realized that beneath her gentle, soft appearance, Quinn had a little temper of her own.

It was adorable.

When they arrived at Lucy’s place, Lucy opened the door and winked at Quinn. “Mr. Sterling and Mrs. Sterling, you’re here!”

Quinn could only laugh helplessly.

Julian liked the sound of it, but he knew Quinn was shy.

He looked at Lucy. “Don’t call her that. We’re not married yet.”

“Got it!” Lucy said at once. “I’ll hold off for now. I’ll say it after you tie the knot!”

While Quinn was inside packing, Julian sent Lucy a generous gift.

Clearly, he approved of her quick wit.

Quinn didn’t have many things, so she packed everything into a single suitcase.

She worried about Lucy. “Take good care of yourself. Call me anytime if you need anything, okay?”

“I will!”

Julian said, “You can come over for dinner whenever you want.”

Lucy waved a hand. “Nah, I don’t want to ruin your private time!”

With Julian right there, Lucy didn’t dare ask any more outrageous questions.

After packing, they headed back to Julian’s place, officially starting their life together.

Quinn had no idea what she was in for.

That night, when it was time for bed, she lay quietly on the bed and Julian leaned over her.

She tensed up instantly. “What are you doing?”

“No…” Quinn pulled away. “Don’t.”

“I’ll only kiss you,” he said. “Nothing else.”

Kissing with Julian was always sweet.

Quinn loved kissing him too.

But once they started, her head would go fuzzy.

Before she knew it, Julian had undressed her and moved on to more.

By the time Quinn tried to resist, it was too late.

She wanted to cry.

Thankfully, Julian held back, mindful of her body.

They’d been busy all day, and he didn’t want to wear her out. He stopped after half an hour, held her close, and let her sleep.

Quinn finally got a proper night’s rest and felt much better when she woke up the next morning.

Julian gazed at her soft, smooth skin and leaned in to kiss her again.
