Chapter 367 A Drunken Mess

“Didn’t you just go back to work?”

“Yeah, well, I just moved in with my girlfriend. I’m the CEO, I get to be lazy. I’m taking time off.”

Quinn was at a loss for words. “Then we’re sleeping in separate rooms.”

“No way!”

They bickered like little kids, and Quinn gave up first.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to argue-she just had no energy left.

Even after a full night’s sleep, her whole body felt weak.

Her thighs were still sore.

After breakfast, Quinn flopped down on the sofa.

She thought to herself that if this kept up, she’d be ruined.

Staying away from Julian was the safest choice.

When Julian finished a work call and came back, Quinn was already asleep on the sofa.

Julian thought it over. He worked out regularly and was in far better shape than Quinn.

It was her first time experiencing physical intimacy, and he’d pushed her too hard.

It was his fault.

But Quinn was just too sweet. He couldn’t help himself.

Sleeping apart was out of the question.

He’d just have to sweet-talk her.

Julian lifted her gently and carried her to the bedroom’s bed.

He was about to tuck her in when her phone rang.

He quickly silenced it, covered her up, and stepped outside with the phone.

He answered. “Lucy, it’s me.”

“Julian, where’s Quinn?”

“She’s asleep. What’s wrong?”

Lucy said, “Chase is being crazy. He showed up here drunk, crying outside the door.”

“Ignore him.” Julian said, annoyed. “Call the cops and have them take him away.”

“Got it. I just wanted to let Quinn know to be careful. Chase seems… off.”

“I’ll handle it. I’ll watch over her.”

After hanging up, Julian still felt uneasy. He sent someone over to help Lucy deal with Chase, and ordered an investigation into what had gotten into him.

It turned out Chase had gotten into a huge fight with Rosalie at a bar the night before, in full view of

everyone.

He’d been drinking nonstop all night, and by morning, he’d somehow found Lucy’s new address and showed up looking for Quinn.

The reason for the fight with Rosalie was pure drama.

Rosalie had gone to the bar first, invited by a new friend-another rich heir.

She’d only just met him, but he spent money freely, so she wasn’t about to let such a catch slip away.

But the guy was good at getting people to drink, and before she knew it, Rosalie was wasted.

When Chase arrived, she was slurring her words to the man.

That alone wouldn’t have been so bad.

But what she was saying sent Chase flying into a rage.

Rosalie almost never let herself get drunk.

But the mood had been just right, and she’d never been drunk enough to lose control before.

Besides, she actually kind of liked this rich heir.

She’d manipulated Chase once before, and he’d wrapped around her finger ever since.

She’d planned to use the same tricks on this new guy to tie him down too.

But she’d gotten drunk instead.

And she started talking nonsense.

When Chase walked in, Rosalie was saying, “That idiot buys me all kinds of stuff, won’t take no for an answer. Is he stupid or what?

“He says he’s in love with my sister? Please, what a lie! He’s totally into me! I just played a few tricks, and he did whatever I told him!”
