Chapter 412 Sudden Unexpected Danger
“I’ll take both styles then. Mark said. “Please take her measurements now.”

Adele was just finishing the measurements when her phone rang. She apologized briefly and answered the
call.
“Grandma, I’m passing by your shop soon and want to try on the new dress.”
Adele broke into a soft smile right away. “Sure, I’ll wait for you here.”
She tended to Mark and Xenia, noted down all her sizes and asked about Xenia’s dressing preferences. Mark settled the payment and then left the shop with Xenia.
It was only five or six minutes after they walked out of the alley that Quinn showed up.
“Grandma!” she called out and hurried over to hug Adele.
Adele patted her back gently. “I haven’t seen you in days. Let me check if you’ve lost weight.”
“I haven’t. I eat plenty every single day.”
Adele looked at her with tender affection. “Now that you stay with Julian, if you two have no plan to get married soon, you have to take proper precautions, alright?”
Quinn’s face flushed red the moment she caught her meaning.
“Things are different nowadays, yet an unexpected pregnancy will still put a young lady in an awkward spot,” Adele reminded her softly.
“I understand that clearly, Grandma.” Quinn’s gaze fell on the pale green formal gown. “Is this one made for me?”
“It is. Come on and try it on.”

Quinn walked out of the fitting room after changing clothes. Adele froze on the spot the second she laid eyes on her. She looked just like a graceful noble lady stepping out from an old painting.
Not everyone could pull off such a soft green tone, but Quinn had fair cold-toned skin that made every outfit look flawless on her. She looked noble, elegant and full of fresh lively charm.
“You look absolutely stunning,” Adele said with great satisfaction. “I knew this style would suit you perfectly.”
She paused for a moment and spoke again, “A guest just left before you came. She was extremely beautifi and looked just like you. She also took quite a fancy to this dress.”
This was already the second time Quinn had heard someone say she resembled another woman lately. She smiled lightly. “You must miss me so much that everyone looks like me in your eyes.”
Adele did not argue further. “I really do. So come keep me company more often when you are free.

You are far from old,” Quinn replied warmly. “You still have sharp eyes and good hearing, plus your tailoring skills are better than most people’s.”
“I’ll take this dress off first” Quim said.
Adele nodded in agreement.
Quinn had just stepped into the fitting room when someone came to the shop door again. Adele looked up and found the man who had left earlier had come back.
“Is there anything wrong? Is there a problem with the custom clothes?” Adele asked.
“Nothing wrong with the clothes,” Mark said and handed over a delicate jewelry box. “I hope you can inlay this gem onto the finished gown.”
Adele opened the box and saw a fine precious jade stone that looked extremely valuable.
“Are you sure you are fine leaving such an expensive item here with me?”
“I have full trust in your time-honored shop,” Mark smiled gently. “I’ll leave this matter in your care.”
“Rest assured, I will contact you once it is finished.”
Mark nodded and took his leave shortly after.
Quinn walked out of the fitting room then. “Grandma, can I take this dress home now?”
“I’ll pack it up for you right away,” Adele answered. “Didn’t you mention Julian’s birthday is drawing near? This dress will be perfect for that occasion.”
Quinn suddenly snapped out of her daze. “I totally forgot about that.”
“Silly girl,” Adele said while packing the dress neatly. “Stay and have a meal here before you go.”
“I can’t. I have already made an appointment with someone.” Quinn added, “Call me anytime you need help. Julian arranged a massage chair for you, and it will be delivered here tomorrow.”
“The old one still works fine…”

“It has been used for years. It is time to get a new one. Just wait for the delivery staff to give you a call for installation.”
After saying goodbye, Quinn got in her car and dialed Julian’s number.
“You’ve gone to Adele’s place?” Julian spoke softly. “Can you come over to see me now?”
“You are busy with work, I’d better not disturb you.”
“You won’t disturb me at all. Come here and we will have dinner together.”
“Aren’t you swamped with work today?”
“Not too busy. I can finish all my tasks on time easily. Hurry over, I’m waiting for you”

“Alright then. Where do you want to eat later…” A sudden sharp cry escaped her mouth halfway through
her words.
Julian’s heart sank instantly, “Quinn?”
A loud heavy crash came from the other end of the line right after her scream, then all sound cut off completely.
“Quinn!”
The call went dead with no further response. Cold sweat broke out on Julian’s back at once. He gripped his phone tightly and rushed straight outside. He quickly dialed his bodyguards in panic.
His usual calm composure vanished without a trace, leaving him utterly flustered. No one answered his calls. A terrible premonition struck him hard. Something terrible must have happened to Quinn. He kept redialing her number over and over again without stopping.
