Mark felt truly glad to see Xenia willing to step out and wander around.

They stopped in front of a custom tailor shop.

“I can’t believe this place is still here,” Xenia sighed softly.

“You still remember it?” Mark looked surprised.

“Of course I do,” Xenia replied. “It rained that day. I slipped and tore my dress.”

“I borrowed needle and thread from the shop owner and mended it for you myself.”

Xenia smiled warmly. “The lady back then even praised your neat stitches.”

“That was the first dress I ever bought you, so I wanted to fix it with my own hands.”

She gazed at the shop sign with a sweet smile. “Shall we go inside for a look?”

“Alright, I will wait for you,” Adele said gently. “I have sewn a fine formal gown for you. Come try it on later.”

“Why do you keep making clothes for me?”

“You spend all your time designing outfits for others and barely have nice things for yourself. Promise me you will come the day after tomorrow.”

“Sure I will.”

Hearing footsteps at the door, Adele ended the call after a few more words. She walked over and saw an elegant middle-aged couple walk in. They actually looked quite young, barely in their early forties. The woman seemed even younger, just in her early thirties.

“Would you like to order custom outfits?” Adele asked politely.

They only recalled there used to be a tailor shop run by a couple in this street, yet they could not remember the original owner’s face. Seeing Adele’s age, they guessed she was the former shop keeper.

Xenia had no plan to buy new clothes, until her eyes fell on a soft light green formal gown. The style was simple yet elegant, with fine craftsmanship and high-quality fabric. Not many people could pull off this gentle shade.

Xenia had fair skin and kept a slim figure just like a young girl, so the dress suited her perfectly.

Mark also thought it looked stunning. “How much is this gown?”

Adele glanced at it and shook her head. “I am sorry, this one is made for my family youngster and not for sale.”

Disappointment flashed across Xenia’s face. Mark hated seeing her feel upset.

“Ma’am, name your price. I am willing to pay double or even more. You can make another one for your family member and sell this piece to us.”

“I really cannot do that,” Adele refused gently. “You may check other styles or place a new custom order.”

“We will leave Lakeshore City tomorrow morning, so we do not have enough time for new orders,” Mark explained.

“Let it go then,” Xenia whispered.

“If you love this style, I cannot make an identical copy, but I can make one from the same collection,” Adele suggested. “I can take your measurements and ship the finished piece to your address later.”

Mark turned to Xenia. “Shall we order one?”

Xenia already owned countless fine clothes and had personal designers at home. She only took a fancy to this dress on a sudden whim. She shook her head softly.

“If you want it, then let’s do it.” Xenia softened her tone and looked at Adele. “Can you take my measurements now?”

“I cannot copy the exact same design, only similar styles. You may look through our design sketches first

Adele handed them the design catalog. Mark did not bother looking, knowing Xenia would make the

choice.
