Chapter 93 A Private Collection

Quinn said, “Sometimes I do. If a client has a specific taste, I’ll look at how certain jewelry pieces are designed and draw inspiration from that.”

Veronica glanced at her and smiled. “I know a place that’s basically a jewelry museum. Want to see it?”

Quinn’s eyes lit up instantly. “Really? There’s a place like that? How come I’ve never heard of it?”

As far as she knew, the most impressive jewelry collection she had ever heard about was the one displayed at the Met.

Other museums might have a few pieces here and there, but their jewelry sections were usually pretty small.

“It’s private,” Veronica said. “Not open to the public. If you’re interested, you can ask him yourself.”

Quinn leaned forward a little. “Then where do I ask? Are there any requirements?”

Veronica lifted her chin slightly. “The owner is sitting right behind you. Just turn around.”

Quinn instinctively turned. Her gaze met Julian’s steady eyes.

She wasn’t sure if her instincts were right and he had already been watching her, or if she had simply turned at the exact moment he looked over.

Either way, their eyes

locked.

The surprise in Quinn’s chest hadn’t settled yet. She spoke carefully.

“Mr. Sterling… you own a museum full of jewelry?”

Julian nodded slightly. “My great-grandmother loved collecting jewelry. Over the years, she gathered quite a lot. Later, I had professionals organize everything. Eventually, it turned into a full collection. Antique pieces, vintage pieces, modern designs. Whatever era you’re curious about, it’s there.”

The moment Quinn heard that, curiosity started tugging at her.

She really didn’t want any more complicated ties with Julian.

But the temptation was too strong.

She couldn’t help asking, “So…. how could someone visit?”

“Visits aren’t allowed.”

Quinn’s excitement faded right away.

The corner of Julian’s lips lifted. “But if you want to go, you’re welcome anytime.”

Veronica nearly burst out laughing

She never expected this. Julian usually looked so serious and authoritative. Who knew he could charm a girl like this?

Lucy had been worrying for nothing.

Even Veronica felt surprised. Quinn hadn’t expected that answer either.

For some reason, the tips of her ears warmed.

She hesitated for a second before speaking. “Then… thank you.”

Julian noticed how uncomfortable she looked. “When the time comes, you can go with Lucy.”

The smile on Quinn’s face instantly became genuine. “That sounds great.”

Veronica added, “Quinn, once you see the collection, you’ll realize the trip was worth it. The pieces in there will absolutely blow your mind.”

Quinn sat properly in the passenger seat and didn’t dare look at Julian again.

“I’m really looking forward to it.”

She had told herself she didn’t want any more interaction with Julian.

Yet the moment something like this appeared, she couldn’t resist.

My self-control is terrible.

But there was no helping it. She simply loved jewelry.

Even just looking at beautiful pieces made her feel happy and satisfied.

Back when she first started studying design, what she loved most was actually jewelry design.

Even after choosing fashion design as her major, she had never abandoned that passion.

Several professors at school had even praised her. They said her sense of creativity and intuition in jewelry design surpassed many students who specialized in fine arts.

From the back seat, Julian had a clear view of Quinn’s profile.

He could see the small dimple on her cheek and the faint curve of her lips.

She was happy.

Julian said, “Whenever you want to go, just tell me in advance. I’ll arrange it.”

Quinn quickly replied, “Okay, thank you.”

Julian went quiet for a few seconds. Then he spoke again, “I just thought of one condition.”

Quinn blinked. “What condition?”

Veronica looked surprised. “Julian, what’s this about conditions? You already said Quinn could go.”

Punished

She was clearly renunding him. She had just been praising him in her mind for knowing how to charm a girl.

Now suddenly there were conditions?

How was he supposed to win someone over like that?

Julian said calmly. “Hear me out first.”

Veronica folded her arms. “Alright, go ahead.”

Julian looked at Quinn. “Lucy once said Quinn should call me Seven, the same way she does. Quinn didn’t want to. That’s fine, call me whatever you like. But when you talk to me, could you stop saying ‘sir’?”

Veronica burst out laughing. “That’s fair. Quinn, you hear that?”

Quinn felt a little embarrassed. “I heard.”

Julian watched her quietly. “So can you agree to that condition?”

Quinn nodded quickly. “Yes.”

She paused, then added hurriedly, “I didn’t mean to make you sound old. I was just trying to be respectful.”

“I’m not old,” Julian said. “I’m only twenty eight.”

Veronica held back a laugh. “Quinn is twenty three, right?”

Quinn nodded.

Veronica said on purpose, “Then compared to Quinn, you are quite a bit older.”

Julian raised a brow. “Five years counts as a lot?”

Veronica shrugged. “People say even three years can create a generation gap. Five years is almost two of them.”
