Divorce Him, Then Dazzle novel Chapter 291

Lambert raised his arm, trapping her against his body. He already possessed an intimidating presence, and looking down at her like this only amplified his overwhelming dominance. Camilla's heart hammered frantically against her ribs. If Lambert leaned in even a fraction closer, their lips would meet. Unable to help herself, she brought her hands up, pressing both palms flat against his chest. "You already felt up my abs, are you going for my chest next?" Lambert leaned forward slightly, pushing his pecs right into her palms. "Do you like what you feel?" Camilla snatched her hands back as if she had touched an open flame. Lambert caught her wrists in a firm grip. "What, you're going to touch and run? Refusing to take responsibility?" If he was talking about the things that happened when she was drunk, fine—she touched him, she felt him up. She admitted that. But today... she had just put her hands up instinctively to create some distance. Did that really count as feeling him up? "If you didn't stand so close to me, I wouldn't have..." Camilla argued in a small voice. "It's not like I deliberately tried to grope your chest." "Do you want to?" Lambert stared down at her. Seeing the deep flush spreading across her cheeks, he forced down the urge to kiss her. "Tell me the truth. Do you want to?" "No!" Camilla gritted her teeth. "Let me go." "Weren't we discussing how you're going to repay your debt?" Lambert asked softly. "If I let you go, how will you pay me back? Or are you planning to take the initiative?" The initiative? How was she supposed to do that? Initiate a kiss, a hug, a touch? Just the thought of it made Camilla's face burn with intense heat. Wait, no! She quickly said, "Let's establish exactly what counts as repayment first. I don't want to... to hug you, only for you to accuse me of taking advantage of you again." "Just a hug? I'm afraid that won't cut it." Lambert smirked. "Do you want me to detail exactly what you did when you were drunk, bit by bit?" Camilla wanted to squeeze her eyes shut and deny everything. Lambert pulled out his phone and tapped the screen a few times. The audio of two people talking played from the speaker. First, it was Camilla. She slurred, "You're... Lambert White. Yeah, Lambert White!" Then came Lambert's voice. "So you do know my name. Haven't you been calling me Mr. White this whole time?" Camilla's voice returned. "Hmph, Lambert White... Lambert White, the Big Bad Wolf!" Then, it was as if the audio was stuck on loop. "Lambert White, the Big Bad Wolf! Hehe, Big Bad Wolf! Big Bad Wolf!" Camilla's eyes widened in sheer horror. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She lunged forward to snatch his phone. Lambert effortlessly raised his arm high above his head, keeping it completely out of her reach. "What is that?" Camilla was dying of sheer embarrassment. "Delete it! Delete it right now!" "There's also footage of you feeling up my Adam's apple and my abs. I have audio and video." Lambert watched her with amused leisure. "Want to see?" "How do you even have..." Camilla was mortified, flustered, and furious all at once. "Lambert! Delete it!" "The dashcam in my car recorded it," Lambert explained easily. "I was worried you'd try to deny it, so I made a copy on my phone." Camilla's memories of that night were completely blurred. She had recalled snippets in her dreams, but nothing concrete. She didn't always have a clear recollection of her drunken escapades. But having a vague memory was worlds apart from having cold, hard evidence played right to her face! Just thinking about it was humiliating enough. How could Lambert do this... Camilla was on the verge of tears. "Delete it, hurry up and delete it!" "Are you admitting to it?" "Yes, I admit it!" Tears pricked Camilla's eyes. "I admit to everything!" Lambert finally nodded. "I promise I'll delete it."
