Ayla called a caregiver over to help.

Kaleb glanced at her dirty hand and told her to use the restroom outside. He’d stay there and watch.

Ayla went to the restroom and turned on the faucet. Water ran nonstop over her fingers.

That was when Bria suddenly appeared.

“Ayla!”

Ayla heard the voice and frowned.

She turned around, and Bria’s arrogant, rich-girl face filled her view.

Renee was standing behind her.

Ayla glanced over Renee immediately looked away, guilty as hell.

Ayla withdrew her gaze and looked straight at Bria, expressionless.

She didn’t say a word.

Bria was about to speak, but then remembered Troy had told her not to spread the divorce. She told Renee to step outside first.

After Renee left, Bria said, “I know you divorced Troy.”

“And?” Ayla asked lightly, not taking her seriously at all.

Bria clenched her teeth. In the past, whenever Ayla saw her, she’d practically hover around her and never dare ignore her.

So Ayla’s indifferent attitude alone was enough to send Bria into a rage. She said arrogantly, “Ayla, I’m warning you. Watch your attitude. Don’t think you can give me a cold shoulder!”

Ayla had zero patience for Bria’s spoiled tantrums now. “Say one more word of nonsense, and I’ll kick you

out.”

Bria’s eyes widened, and her face twisted with anger.

“Ayla! What are you being so smug about? Marrying Troy was the best thing that happened to you! You should’ve worshipped him! Now that you’ve divorced him, you’re nothing! Hard times are waiting for you! And you still dare talk to me like this? Don’t think I wouldn’t lay a hand on you!”

Ayla looked at her coolly. “Bria, are you here to show concern for me?”

Bria instantly exploded. “Hell, no!”

“11/3

“Then whether I live a hard life or not has nothing to do with you,” Ayla sneered, finally indulging her. “I

don’t know what my future will be like, but when I was with Troy, my life was really miserable.”

“Hah, keep pretending!” Bria scoffed. “I don’t believe you’ll ever find a man better than Troy!”

Troy is top-tier. Men better than him are rare. Ayla is just bluffing!

Bria didn’t bother arguing further and asked bluntly, “Who’s the man that was with you earlier?”

Ayla looked puzzled.

“So that’s it. I knew it. A desperate hanger-on like you wouldn’t just leave Troy so easily!” Bria pressed. “Tell me. You were already seeing another man before the divorce, weren’t you?”

Ayla didn’t answer.

“You just got divorced, and you’re already sticking to another guy? Do you have any shame at all!”

Only then did Ayla understand why the heiress had suddenly blown up. It was honestly ridiculous. “Bria, as a sister, you’re really eager to label your own brother as a cuck,” Ayla said calmly. “If Troy found out, I’m sure he’d be ‘pleased.”

She added, “You should go tattle on him right now. I have plenty of men on the side.”

Her expression was dead serious.

Bria knew Ayla was messing with her, and that feeling was unbearable.

In the past, a few sharp words were enough to hurt Ayla.

Now, no matter what Bria said, Ayla was completely immune.

It was suffocating.

The water on Ayla’s hands had mostly dried. She didn’t have time to deal with Bria and walked straight

out.

Bria said, “I’m not done yet-”

Ayla thought, Who cares whether you’re done or not?

As soon as she stepped out, she ran into Kaleb, whose expression was dark.

“Why did you get out?”

“Juliet showed up. Can’t stay.” Kaleb asked, “Wanna leave now?”

Bria hurried after them and suddenly saw the man she’d been suspicious of. She froze.

Kaleb also noticed Bria following Ayla.
