Ayla agreed. “Then let’s test Kaleb’s attitude later.”

The siblings stepped out of the elevator and went inside.

The moment Kaleb walked in, he saw Draven sitting on the couch. He was sure this was Ayla’s place. His face darkened on the spot. “Ayla! Why is he in your house?”

Kaleb already didn’t like Draven. Now, there was suddenly another man in his sister’s home. It felt like someone had invaded his territory.

Kaleb was furious. “Does he know your door code? Ayla, you actually gave another man your code? So he can just come and go as he pleases? What are you thinking? How can you hand out your home code to some guy?”

Ayla thought, There’s no need to test anything at all.

Kaleb felt something was off, but without proof, he could only stare at Draven defensively. “She just mentioned it, and you think you can just come over?”

Ayla said, “He’s here so you can brief him.”

Kaleb snapped, “I don’t have time! It’s the weekend. I’m off. I don’t want to report anything!”

Draven remained calm and unshaken. “Then I’ll have Emmett come over. He’ll probably be very happy to.”

Kaleb instantly felt another stab to the chest.

Draven was eight years older than him. Those extra eight years of experience made him an old fox already. In a battle of words, Kaleb was completely outmatched.

If Kaleb was really going to fight with Draven…
