Chapter 210 Let Love Try Again

“I get it completely,” Quinn said. “They were so definite bout breaking up. Even when that girl found out her illness wasn’t as bad as she thought and came back later, my brother would never have gotten back with her.

“He was dead set on his choice. Even though she left him for that reason, he never stopped loving her. That’s how I know how he feels about you. You’ll never find an one who loves you like he does. Please, don’t let this go.”

Quinn told Hazel everything. After that, Kieran never spoke of the girl again. He’d forbidden the family from mentioning her, too. To him, moving on meant closing that chapter for good.

But with Hazel, weeks had passed and he still couldn’t let go. She’d become the one thing that haunted him.

Hazel froze. She didn’t know what to say, how to respond.

“Hazel, my brother treats you differently from anyone else,” Quinn pressed. “Not even his first love, not even that ex-girlfriend-he’s never loved anyone the way he loves you. Give him a chance. If it doesn’t work out, you can walk away. No one will force you. But at least you tried.”

“Aren’t you afraid you’ll regret this for the rest of your life?” she asked softly. “You’ll both be stuck in the past, unable to move forward. Isn’t it better to let go of the pain and accept the love he’s offering?”

Quinn’s own words moved her. She only hoped they’d reach Hazel, too.

“I’ve said all I need to say. I hope you’ll think long and hard about this.” Her tone was firm, her resolve unwavering.

“Quinn, I…” Hazel began, her voice wavering.

“Don’t tell me you need more time to think,” Quinn cut in gently. “You’ve been thinking this whole time. You haven’t truly let him go. What else is there to consider?

“Trust me. Give him one more chance. I know you two will be happy. Everyone will accept you. This your fault. Why punish yourself for what happened to you? You should be angry at the people who you, not at yourself.”

Quinn reached across the table and took Hazel’s hands in hers, squeezing them tightly.

Hazel had been through so much. She’d survived alone, kept her head up, and stayed kind. Quinn admired her strength.

Hazel’s wounds had almost healed. Then Quinn had ripped them open, unknowingly. She felt terrible, but she was determined to help stitch them back together.

“If you’re willing, come back with me to see him. He’s not doing well at all.”

Quinn could see the shift in Hazel. Her hard resolve had crumbled. Her eyes softened, no longer cold and distant,

They both cared deeply. They both wanted to be together. The past had just left Hazel too scared to face

Kieran.

“Hazel, I promise our family can be a warm home for you,” Quinn said earnestly. “We can help you heal, No one will bring up your past to hurt you, No one will jude you. It’s over. It’s been over for a long time.
