“He’ll send someone to pick you up at seven. You’ll go together,” Mabel added.

A business event?

Quinn frowned slightly. She’d never attended such gatherings before.

Felix had asked her to accompany him to parties and dinners in the past, but she’d always refused.

She’d once thought these trivial gatherings were a waste of time. But this time, she couldn’t say no.

“I understand,” Quinn agreed–surprisingly, without hesitation.

After Mabel left, she opened the box.

Inside was a light pink dress adorned with gold lace, paired with silver crystal high heels.

Quinn had fair skin and a tall figure. The dress made her look like an elegant swan–poised and graceful.

She stared at her reflection in the mirror. She barely recognized herself.

Shortly after she was ready, the driver arrived to pick her up.

She got in the car and found Peyton already there.

“You look beautiful tonight. I’m glad I chose the right dress,” he said.

He picked it out personally?

“I love it,” Quinn smiled.

“You won’t have to do anything once we’re inside. Just stay by my side,” Peyton told her.

He rarely attended such events.

The only reason he’d brought her tonight was to introduce her to everyone–to let the industry know that Quinn was his fiancée.

They arrived soon after.

Quinn linked her arm through Peyton’s, and they walked in together.

Immediately, all eyes turned to them. They became the center of attention.

“That’s Mr. Reed’s fiancée?”

“It’s the first time Mr. Reed has brought a woman to a business event. She must be someone special!”

“I heard rumors about Mr. Reed getting engaged, but I didn’t think it was true!”

Whispers spread through the crowd. Everyone seemed curious about their relationship.

Quinn stood tall, calm and elegant beside Peyton. Even against his powerful aura, she held her own- fearless and confident.

“Mr. Reed, long time no see! I didn’t expect you’d be here tonight. I have a great project idea–would you be interested?”

“Good evening. Mr. Reed.”

As they walked to the center of the room, people swarmed around them, raising their glasses in greeting- all respectful and polite.

“This is my fiancée, Quinn Hart,” Peyton said, introducing her formally. “She holds several patents. You may have opportunities to collaborate with her in the future. I hope you’ll treat her well.”
