“Mrs. Hart, there’s a misunderstanding! It’s not what you think. I have nothing to do with that woman. Quinn is the only one in my heart. Please believe me just once!” Felix begged.
“Enough!
“What you have with that woman is none of our business. Get out of this house right now, and never let me see you again!” Doris snapped.
Quinn felt extremely annoyed at this moment. He was like a stubborn stain that couldn’t be wiped off-now he was getting even more brazen, showing up at her home.
“Quinn, please! Come back with me? I need you, and the company needs you too. I can transfer the company to your name-everything is yours, just don’t leave me!
“I’ve been so miserable these days. I can’t live without you. Please, just give me another chance!”
Quinn let out a bitter laugh. She finally understood his real purpose for coming today.
He didn’t need her-he needed someone to fix the company’s mess. Now the company was just an empty shell. What good would transferring it to her name do?
Besides, all the projects they’d taken on before had been ruined by her. It was nothing like it used to be.
Felix was dead drunk because the company was under immense pressure, with countless unresolved issues. That’s why he’d gone out drinking to drown his sorrows.
That’s just who he was-completely irresponsible. Instead of solving the company’s problems, he tried to shift the blame to others and escape by drinking.
Suddenly, Doris slapped him hard across the face.
“Felix Cole, sober up! Look at yourself—you’re a mess. Do you think you’re worthy of coming to my house to beg my daughter?
“I warn you, never come near my daughter again. Otherwise, I won’t let her brother spare you!”
Doris had run out of patience. She hated this man deeply. If it weren’t for him, she wouldn’t have been separated from her daughter for so many years.
“Mrs. Hart, I was wrong about everything before. Hit me again if it makes you feel better. I’m sorry, Quinn -truly sorry.
“As long as Quinn is willing to give me another chance, I’ll agree to anything!”
Felix begged for forgiveness with a seemingly sincere attitude.
His life had been miserable lately. He didn’t know how to go on alone, and his heart felt empty.
He hadn’t had the courage to come before. Today, it was only because he was drunk that he’d found the

Quinn had never felt so speechless with anyone in her life. She couldn’t understand why he was making such a scene.
What exactly does he want?
“Felix, I will never get back together with you. I won’t go back with you, and I’m getting engaged soon. You have someone you love too. This is for the best.
“Leave now before I call the police. Otherwise, we’ll all end up embarrassed!”
She tried hard to calm her tone and control her emotions. Getting angry with someone like him was useless. He didn’t care about anyone else’s feelings.
It wasn’t until today that Quinn truly saw this man’s true colors.
Why haven’t I realized before how clingy and reckless he is?
Quinn was worried that her mother would get too angry and harm her health.
“Quinn, don’t be mad at me anymore. Come home with me, and we can live a good life together. I really have nothing to do with that woman-I’m not lying to you!
“Quinn, Lila and I are really not what you think. We have no relationship at all. You misunderstood us!
“Mrs. Hart, I know you never approved of me since we got together, but I promise Quinn is the only one in my heart-past, present, and future!
“I beg you to give me a chance to prove myself. I swear I’ll never be like before.”
Felix clung to them relentlessly, refusing to leave their doorway, and was filled with remorse.
He looked so sincere, speaking such sweet words. But at a time like this, he still called Lila in such an intimate tone.
It was ridiculous!
But Quinn didn’t bother arguing with him.
What he calls Lila doesn’t matter anymore. We are over.
“Felix, stop saying these meaningless words. This is my final warning: leave now!” Quinn didn’t want to say another word. Just seeing him made her feel annoyed, even disgusted.
