Chapter 60 A Helping Hand

Quinn smiled softly.

How nice it is to be home, with my mom by my side. I am so happy.

She’d barely sat down to eat when her phone rang. It was Mia.

“Miss Hart, I know you’ve been on leave lately, and I hate to bother you,” Mia said anxiously. “But I’m really stuck now.

“Felix has been causing trouble for our projects. He’s been sending people to cause scenes at our factories. The factory managers are complaining nonstop, saying they’ll stop cooperating if we don’t fix this soon.

“I’ve tried to handle it myself, but I can’t reason with those men. They all say Felix told them to do it.

“Miss Hart, I’m afraid I really need your help with this. I hate to bother you, but…”

Mia’s voice on the other end was urgent and desperate. She wouldn’t have called Quinn if it hadn’t been absolutely necessary.

“Mia, why didn’t you call me sooner? If something like this happens again, tell me right away. Don’t ever try to handle it alone!

“Take it easy. Focus on your work. I’ll fix this,” Quinn said calmly, trying to reassure her.

Quinn knew Felix was doing this purely to get back at her.

Trying to make peace while plotting revenge. How ridiculous!

“Okay, Miss Hart,” Mia replied.

Quinn hung up and started thinking. This wouldn’t be solved in a day. It would take time.

Over the years, Felix had made a lot of connections in the industry. After they’d started their company together, it had grown bigger and bigger.

If their relationship hadn’t broken down, their company would have been thriving.

Just thinking about it made Quinn’s heart ache. She’d thought he was the one she could spend her life with, but now they were torn apart.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this.

Suddenly, she thought of someone. This person would definitely be able to help.

She picked up her phone and dialed a number.

“Quinn? Why are you calling me today?” Leo Harrison asked.

“Leo, I need your help with something. I’ve been having some trouble with patents lately, and I need you to step in and fix it.”

Chapter 60 A Helping Hand

Leo was a friend she’d known for years, and they’d always gotten along well.

He now owned his own company, which was quite large.

They’d worked together before, but Felix had always been jealous-after all, Leo was a man.

They’d fought about it many times. Felix would say Leo was interested in Quinn and had ulterior motives.

Eventually, Quinn had grown tired of the constant arguments. She’d decided to distance herself from Leo.

Quinn knew deep down that they were just friends-nothing more.

Vow she could contact Leo normally and be friends again.

Over the years, Felix had made her give up a lot. Her friends and family seemed to have faded away one by

one.

“What’s going

going on,

“But your Quinn? You even need to call me for help.

“But your problem is my problem. Don’t worry. I’ll take care of it,” Leo said.

Leo came from a powerful family. His father was a tycoon in the real estate industry, and he had a high status in the circle.

He’d always been hardworking, building his own business, which was doing very well.

“Thank you, Leo.”

“Why are you calling me now? Aren’t you afraid your boyfriend will get jealous?” Leo couldn’t help asking.

He’d suspected something was wrong between them, though neither had mentioned it.

“We broke up,” Quinn said calmly.

“I’m sorry,

I…”

“It’s okay, Leo. Breaking up with him was the best decision I ever made. And I’m doing great now,” Quinn said, not caring at all.

Talking about it no longer hurt as much. She was finally free.

Hearing how calm she was, Leo felt relieved.

They didn’t talk for long. After discussing some work matters, they hung up.

With Leo’s help, these problems would be solved. They also talked about a possible partnership. Quinn’s

patents were a perfect fit for Leo’s company.
