Faulkner and Noemi knocked on the hospital room door, pretending they had just arrived.

Lorelei stood up immediately, greeting them with polite respect.

"Whether it's busy or not, you're in no shape to help," Faulkner mumbled awkwardly. Though his expression remained strict, his concern for his son was obvious. "Just focus on resting. The matters at the Global Medical Alliance Association are far more important anyway."

"I know."

Harold nodded, making sure to add, "The weather's been fluctuating a lot lately. Make sure you keep your asthma inhaler on you, Dad. And cut back on the drinking."

"Nag, nag, nag," Faulkner's rigid expression softened a fraction as he muttered, "Just worry about yourself."

Watching the father and son bicker, Noemi couldn't help but smile.

At least they finally looked like a normal father and son. Before this, they used to be so icy toward each other they practically looked like sworn enemies.

"Alright, we just wanted to drop by and see you." Not wanting to crash the couple's alone time, Noemi grabbed her husband's arm and stood up. "Knowing Lorelei is here taking care of you gives us total peace of mind."

Because as long as they stayed in the room, the couple remained noticeably stiff.
