JASPER’s pov

“Oh, Jasper. My face still stings from the fumes of the toxins that b*tch tossed at us.” Camille whined, “I want her to pay fo what she’s done.”
I rolled my eyes at Camille’s complaint, and wanted nothing more than for her to shut it so I could think.
The room already smelled like burnt herbs and cheap antiseptic. Blood, sweat and smoke all clung to the air and made head pound.
The last thing I needed was her voice drilling holes into my skull.
“That’s enough woman! I’ve had enough of all your wailings, take it elsewhere, can’t you see I’m in pain?” I still had blood mop off my cheek, and the bruises on my skin were taking too long to heal.
My bones felt heavy, and some of it even felt like they’d been fractured.
I hated to admit it, but that bloke Ryder had really done a number on me.
“How can you say this? Why are you talking to me this way? I did everything you asked of me, and now I’m suffering becau of it.”
I glared at her, but I was also forced to take in her appearance.
Her face was red and puffy, like she’d eaten something that she was allergic to, and her eyes were filled with tears. The woman was an absolute mess, I could admit that as well.
“Fine then.” I gritted, “Call our witch, tell him to get over here as soon as possible. Maybe he can proffer a situation for the both of us.”
“Okay.” Camille sniffed and reached for her phone.
In about an hour, our witch arrived, and looked truly disturbed when she saw Camille and 1 I suppose that was y confirmation that things weren’t looking good for us.
“Your bruises are still so sharp even after some time has passed. Are you not healing the witch asked me and I hated out breath.
“not as fast as I’d like.” I said angrily.
“Well, maybe you were roughed up pretty bad.” she said nonchalantly and Leved her with antation, Indiaeed for stating the obvious.”

“Well I can’t.” I admitted angrily, rubbing at my bruises. The sight of them pissed me off. “I don’t know what happened to my wolf since the encounter with Jasper and Amelia, but my wolf has been acting up. He won’t even stir up when I try to call
him forth.”
The witch peered at me for the longest time, like she was trying to see through me, before slowly nodding.
“It must have been a chaotic encounter.” she said and paced across the living room, her long skirt swaying as the mover
Her fingers brushed over the furniture and the walls, like she was feeling for something we couldn’t see or touch.
Then she suddenly stopped and clapped her hand, “then I think I know another way to help you get back your strength.
“And what about me? And my face?” Camille whined, and the witch nodded, waving her hand in her direction.
“This will help you too, but only if you follow my directions to the tea.”
