Chapter 87
AMELIA’s pov
“Rise and shine, sleepy head.” I heard Ryder utter softly when I woke up from my nap.
When my vision focused, I found him looking at me with eyes full of love and devotion and immediately feluself-cons
“H-how long have you been up for?” I asked quietly and cleared my throat, feeling a bit embarrassed.
“Long enough to enjoy your sleepy beauty?”
“I see.” I sighed and stretched a little, before sitting up. “Well, now that I’m awake and feeling a little rested, I was wonder if you could give me the witch’s address.”
“I will, but not right now.” He said, sitting up as well, and my brow immediately shot up.
“But why?” I asked, and he reached for my hand, bringing it to his lips.
“Let’s just say that my witch is a little bit eccentric. She is willing to help us right away, so I’m going to have to think of a w to get her to help us without much hassle.”
I let out a deep breath and he rubbed my hand.
“But don’t you worry, I’m going to deal with this problem as soon as possible.”
Despite his reassurance, I couldn’t help but feel a great wave of anxiety when I thought about the link between Camille an Noah. I wanted nothing but then to have that link severed.
And I wanted it done right away.
So I tried a new tactic.
I reached for Ryder’s hand and looked up at him sweetly.
“Fine then, Honey.” I said softly and added, “Are you hungry? Because I think I worked up an appetite with that nap.”
Just then, his stomach rumbled, right on cue.
“I suppose I am.
“Great, what would you like to eat?”
He gave a half-smile, “You want to cook for me?”
“Of course!” I said excitedly and got out of me immediately, “I have a good feeling that I’m somewhat good at making meals, And besides, you can call it my way of rewarding you for helping me get Noah back.”
“Well, you’re right. You are actually good in the kitchen. And so, since you’ve offered, I’d actually like some rice and black peas. It’s been a while since I’ve had a meal cooked with love.”
“You’ve got it.” I said and clapped in excitement.
When we got to the kitchen, I washed and boiled the rice, and then the peas separately. I made a sauce out of chicken breasts, and cut up some fruits to make a dessert.
When the meal was ready, I served his food in a bowl and set it in front of him.

“This tastes so good, Amelia. I love how tender the chicken is.” Ryder commented, as he cut up his chicken and ate with ter fingers.
By the time he was done with his lunch, he was yawning and patting his stomach..
“I’m so full.” He said, and yawned again, “I think I want to eat all of this for dinner too.” He said, his eyes beginning to droop “Don’t sleep off here.” I said and rose to help him up, “Come on, let me help get you back to the bedroom.”
“Okay.” He murmured, and placed a hand over my shoulder and let me lead him to the room.
The moment he hit the bed, he was out before I could wish him sweet dreams, and I smiled to myself.
“Well done, Amellia.” I said and patted my own back.
“mum?” Noah’s small voice said dorm being me and I jumped slightly before turning to him, “What did you do to daddy?”
“Daddy’ taking a much needed nap.” I said and crouched down to his eyes level before adding, “I put some sleeping pills in his food, so that you and mummy can get the chance to go look for the witch together,”
Noah looked in his father’s direction and a devilish boyish grin spread across his cute little face.
“Let’s do it.” He said happily.
Before we left, I made sure Ryder was truly asleep, before I spoke to some of the familiar looking guards, asking for directions on where I could find the witch.
