Minnie seethed inwardly. "She's so vulgar and barbaric. No wonder she can't win her husband's favor and can only act like a bitter housewife. Mr. Farrell, you've really suffered all these years. I will never be like her."
Minnie rubbed gently against Xavier as she spoke, her insinuation crystal clear.
Xavier flicked his wrist, throwing Minnie off him. "Get lost!"
Minnie was stunned by the shove. Seeing Xavier turn and walk away, she panicked and immediately tried to lunge after him, but Ronan blocked her path.
Ronan pulled out a check and shoved it at Minnie. "Take the money and leave."
Minnie glanced at it. One million!
In truth, she had barely been by Xavier's side and hadn't even made it to his bed. A million was an astronomical price.
But when she thought of his exes, hadn't they all received tens of millions as a breakup fee? The cars, houses, and luxury goods they got weren't even factored in. Compared to that, what was her one million?
Minnie immediately started making a scene. "I'm not leaving! Mr. Farrell likes me so much; he wouldn't just abandon me like this! Tell me, did you take money from that old woman to sabotage me?!"
Ronan's mouth twitched. He really didn't know where Minnie got the audacity to say something like that. Age-wise, she was two years younger than Mrs. Farrell, but in terms of looks, she couldn't hold a candle to Mrs. Farrell's breathtaking beauty.
Ronan said bluntly. "The girl with short hair you were just cursing at is a daughter of the Farrell family, Mr. Farrell's own sister. How much nerve do you think you have left to stay?"
Minnie's face instantly drained of color.
