As she hesitated, wondering whether to open the door, another maid arrived carrying tea to help sober someone up. She tried the handle, but it wouldn't turn. “Why is the door locked?” she muttered to herself.

“I have the key here!” The maid with the key came over and opened the door for her.

When the door swung open, they both froze, stunned by the scene inside.

The maid holding the tea cried out, “Ms. Yvonne!” Her hand trembled, and with a crash, the porcelain bowl fell to the floor, shattering into pieces.

Inside the room, Yvonne’s clothes had been stripped off and thrown on the floor. She was locked in a passionate embrace with a man, whose bare, flabby torso was exposed. His pants were halfway down, and he was clearly ready for action.

The sound of the shattering bowl startled the man, causing him to collapse on top of Yvonne.

Passersby peered into the room. Someone recognized Yvonne, and a series of shrieks erupted.

The commotion alerted the guests in the living room. Catherine and Janice exchanged a look, and Janice gave a slight nod. “I’ll go see what’s happening.”

Catherine nodded and continued her conversation.

A crowd had already formed around the guest room, three layers deep, with everyone pointing and whispering.

“Isn’t that the young lady from the Hanson family? She’s a huge star, you see her on TV all the time!”

“And that man looks like a director. I saw him on stage hosting a film awards ceremony once.”

“How shameless!”

“Exactly! The Lamonts are celebrating, and they pull a stunt like this in their home.”

“If they couldn't wait, they could have gotten a room. This is just humiliating!”

Hannah was with Mr. Hanson but had been keeping an eye on Yvonne’s situation.

Making an excuse, she left and was on the ground floor when she saw a crowd gathered around a guest room, murmuring. She vaguely heard the names “Yvonne” and “Lamont.”
