Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2724

Inside the room, Hannah lunged at Arvin like a madwoman. “You beast in human skin! Taking advantage of my drunk daughter! I’m going to sue you!”

Arvin was terrified, his face pale as he defended himself. “Yvonne started it! Ask her yourself if you don’t believe me!”

“Impossible! Why would my Yvonne ever be interested in you?” Hannah’s plan had not only failed but had also destroyed Yvonne’s reputation. Trembling with rage, she grabbed a nearby vase, ready to hurl it at Arvin.

Janice stepped in, grabbing Hannah’s arm and taking the vase from her. “What’s done is done. We should think about how to resolve this,” she said calmly. “All the guests outside are watching. If someone gets killed, this will be impossible to cover up.”

Her words were like a splash of cold water, snapping Hannah back to her senses.

“I’ll step out now. You should talk this over.”

Janice’s gaze swept over Yvonne, who was still in a daze, before she walked out and closed the door.

With only the three of them left, Hannah couldn’t contain her anger. She pointed a finger at Arvin’s nose and snarled, “We’re not finished with you!”

Arvin sneered. “What are you going to do, Mrs. Hanson? Yvonne seduced me. If you dare make this public, I have nothing to fear. But Yvonne is a different story. She’ll be labeled a homewrecker, her reputation will be ruined, and it’s only a matter of time before she’s blacklisted!”

Hannah was so furious she grabbed the nearest object and started hitting Arvin with it again.

“Enough!” Yvonne shrieked. Head down, she ground out through clenched teeth, “Get out, both of you! Just get out!”

Arvin, now fully dressed, glanced at Yvonne and scrambled out of the room.

He hugged the wall as he fled, terrified Hannah would attack him again.

The door slammed shut. Hannah collapsed onto the bed in frustration. “It’s over. It’s all over!”

Yvonne started getting dressed, her face a mask of desperate determination. “I will make the Lamont family answer for this!”

She got up, stumbling as she headed for the door. Hannah’s eyes darted, and she quickly ran to block her. “Arvin just took advantage of the situation, and no real harm was done. Yvonne, calm down!”

It would be too easy to trace the drugged drink back to her. If Yvonne made a scene, it would only bring more shame upon them.

Yvonne’s gaze was icy. “Move.”

Hannah finally stammered, “Actually, it… it was me!”

Yvonne’s head was still spinning. She stared blankly at Hannah. “Mom, what did you say?”

Hannah said resentfully, “I wanted Jonathan to be the one to find you. I was afraid he’d throw you out if you were just pretending to be drunk, so I put something in your drink. I never thought that bastard Arvin would show up instead of Jonathan!”
