Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2725

Yvonne stared at Hannah in disbelief, then started hitting her with the phone in her hand. “Are you insane? Why would you do this to me?”

Her sobs were heart-wrenching as she clawed at Hannah’s face. “Are you even my mother?”

“Do you have any idea what you’ve done to me?”

The corner of Hannah’s eye was struck by the phone, and she stumbled back in pain. Yvonne’s broken nails left bloody scratches on her face. Hannah quickly grabbed her hands.

“Yvonne, I was really trying to help you!”

“Yvonne, calm down and listen to me!”

Yvonne’s face was contorted with grief, tears carving paths down her cheeks.

“Get away from me! I never want to see you again. You were a mistress yourself, and now you’re using those same dirty tricks on me!”

*Smack!* Hannah slapped Yvonne across the face. She smoothed her disheveled hair and snapped, “Yvonne, if you ever say anything like that again, you can forget I’m your mother!”

Yvonne leaned against the wall, her sobs turning into pathetic whimpers.

Night had fallen. Out in the courtyard, the cool breeze finally cleared Arvin’s head.

The Hanson family was not to be trifled with, and the thought of what he’d done to Yvonne on Lamont territory filled him with belated fear. He didn’t dare stay any longer and quickly slipped away unnoticed.

The Lamonts’ dinner banquet for their guests began. As the lanterns lit up the evening, glasses clinked and laughter filled the air. People occasionally mentioned the earlier incident, their quiet mockery lost in the festive noise.

“No,” Janice shook her head with a gentle smile. “Jonathan’s mind is completely focused on the wedding in two days. He can barely be bothered to speak, especially since he hasn’t been able to see Estelle. He certainly has no energy to waste on Yvonne.”

Catherine also smiled, a mix of helplessness and affection. “That’s true.”

Janice continued, “I had someone notify every guest to delete any photos or videos from their phones, to ensure this doesn’t get out.”

Catherine’s expression flickered as she slowly spooned her soup.

Janice added, “Honestly, Yvonne has been acting out ever since Jonathan and Estelle got together, likely because she can’t accept it. What she and Mrs. Hanson said today was particularly distasteful. But I also considered that if those photos were leaked and caused a stir online, it could affect Jonathan and Estelle. After all, there were already rumors about the three of them, and since this happened at our home, people would inevitably speculate.”

“The wedding is in two days. I don’t think we need any unnecessary drama to upset Jonathan and Estelle right now.”
