Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2738

Carson retorted, "I'm doing everyone a favor! Don't you miss your Goddess Amiee?"

They had all agreed earlier not to make any calls or video chats, to see who would crack first.

Josiah immediately declared loudly, "Amiee, honey, I miss you!"

On Estelle's side, Amiee Jordan, who was chatting with Emily, scowled at the screen and shot him a glare. "Shut up!"

Everyone burst into roaring laughter.

Estelle looked at Jonathan and smiled. "Let's chat privately."

Jonathan took one last reluctant look at her before handing the phone to Morrison.

Morrison leaned back in his chair, the gold-rimmed glasses on his face glinting faintly. He was wearing a light grey V-neck sweater, looking scholarly and handsome. "Nothing else, just don't drink too much."

Magdalen wrapped an arm around Estelle's shoulder. "Don't worry, Ella's here. She'll keep an eye on me!"

Estelle mercilessly exposed her. "I'll keep an eye on her, but whether she'll listen is another story!"

Magdalen's large eyes immediately shot to Estelle. "Ella, I didn't even tell Jonathan you were drinking. I'm protecting you, how could you throw me under the bus?"

Estelle glared at Magdalen and playfully wiped the sauce from her hand onto Magdalen's face.

Magdalen dodged with a laugh. "Jonathan, your wife is flustered and angry! Come and get your wife under control!"

Estelle's phone vibrated. It was a call from Jonathan. She wiped her hands with a napkin, ignored Magdalen, and walked aside to answer it.

Jonathan's voice was low and gentle. "You really were drinking?"

Estelle said, "Just a little. Everyone's so happy, I didn't want to be a killjoy."

Jonathan chuckled lightly. "I'm not calling to question you."

Estelle asked, "Oh?"

"Just looking for an excuse to call you!" Jonathan's voice grew more tender. "I miss you so much!"

After hanging up, Estelle returned to her seat and replaced the wine in Magdalen's glass with juice. "Drink less. The last thing I want tomorrow is a drunk bridesmaid!"

Magdalen leaned against Estelle and laughed. "Done being sweet with Jonathan, so you've come back to boss me around!"

Estelle put her arm around her shoulder, looked up at the moon, and said softly, "Magdalen, thank you for always being by my side."

Magdalen hugged her back, their foreheads touching. Her eyes were as bright and hazy as if she were drunk. "Ella, I will love you like Jonathan does. I'll always love you!"

Estelle said, "Me too!"

...

The banquet in the front courtyard continued until eleven. By the time Estelle and the others in the back courtyard went to rest, it was nearly midnight.

Smelling of alcohol, Estelle took a shower and changed before heading out.

The Jarvis estate, which had been bustling with noise all day, had finally quieted down. Only the lights remained, shining as brilliantly as a cascading river of stars, illuminating the night as if it were day.
