Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2767

Jonathan’s tone was frigid. “Given Estelle’s condition, and the fact that you just happened to be here, your motives are questionable at best. What right do you have to question me? Besides, I’m not as shameless as you are. She’s my nephew Henson’s tutor; I would never do anything to her.”

Manley’s face twisted into a sneer. “Are you sure about that?”

Estelle buried herself deeper into Jonathan’s arms. He frowned tightly and stepped around Manley, heading for his car.

Manley continued to block his path. “I told you, I won’t let you take her alone!”

“What are you even trying to accomplish?” Jonathan’s voice grew colder. “Fine. Why don’t you ask Estelle yourself who she wants to go with?”

Manley reached for Estelle’s wrist. “Estelle, come with me. Trust me, he’ll hurt you!”

But Estelle instinctively pulled her hand away, nestling closer into Jonathan’s arms. Her choice was clear.

“See?” Jonathan scoffed, then walked away.

Manley let his hand fall, dejected. He turned and watched them leave, a profound sense of helplessness and despair washing over him again. So, even if he could go back in time, she still wouldn’t have chosen him.

Her choice, from the very beginning, was always Jonathan.

Stella was asleep, and Jonathan was asleep too. When he woke up, the sky was dim, and he was surrounded by trees. For a moment, he thought he and Stella had been rescued.

But as his consciousness fully returned, he realized he wasn’t in a primeval forest, but a rubber plantation.

Someone approached him and reported that Wolverine had arrived and the ambush was about to begin.

He froze, then whipped his head around to look deep into the plantation, his face showing a rare expression of panic, even terror. He commanded urgently, “Gather everyone on the plantation and intercept Wolverine!”

He arrived just as Wolverine’s men were dragging Josiah out to threaten Estelle.

At the exact moment a mercenary plunged a needle toward Estelle, Jonathan threw the stun baton. It flew through the air with the force of a thunderbolt, whistling as it struck the man’s arm, sending the large, formidable figure flying.

Estelle whipped her head around. Her face was covered in grime and blood, but her eyes were as cold as stars, yet clear and bright, shining like a sudden burst of moonlight in the dim twilight.

Jonathan leaped forward, kicking away an advancing mercenary. He rushed to Estelle’s side, a relieved smile in his deep eyes.

“This time, I can finally protect you.”

He would never let go again, never let her suffer.

In the distance, Manley stood frozen for a moment. Hearing the escalating sounds of the fight, a ruthless look flashed across his pale face. He quickly bent down, grabbed a wooden stick, and ran with all his might toward Estelle.
