“My bride, are you ready to go with me?”
Estelle placed her hand in his, and he immediately clasped it tightly.

Outside, the groomsmen and bridesmaids were having a blast, with many guests joining in on the fun. The entire courtyard echoed with laughter as they chased each other around.
Suddenly, the crowd quieted down, all eyes turning toward the door.
The door opened, and Jonathan emerged, holding Estelle’s hand.
The exquisite and magnificent traditional gown and headdress left everyone stunned. A golden fringe from the headdress hung down, partially obscuring Estelle’s delicate face, while the groom’s handsome features seemed to outshine the midday sun.
Standing together, they shared an air of cool, noble elegance. Set against the backdrop of the Jarvis family's antique courtyard, the scene was so perfectly harmonious that it created a sense of timelessness, as if an emperor and empress had traveled through a thousand years to be there.
The reporters live-streaming the Lamont family wedding were frozen for a moment before scrambling to take pictures. A wedding like this, with a bride and groom so ethereal, was a once-in-a-lifetime event.
A thick red carpet was laid out on the ground. Jonathan led Estelle by the hand toward the main courtyard, and the others, snapping out of their daze, followed closely, forming a protective circle around the couple.
Perhaps influenced by the couple’s commanding presence, the previously boisterous atmosphere took on a more solemn and dignified tone.
They walked along the red carpet into the main courtyard’s central hall, where Old Mr. Jarvis, Old Mr. Quintin, Gabriel, and some elders of the Jarvis family, along with other important guests, were waiting.
Upon seeing Estelle in her wedding attire, Old Mr. Jarvis’s eyes welled up before he could even speak. A wave of relief and pride washed over him. The frail little girl he once knew was finally a grown, graceful woman, wearing the wedding gown he had personally prepared for her, about to marry the man she loved most.
Old Wade approached with a tray of tea, his voice both affectionate and respectful. “Miss, Young Master, I wish you a life of harmony and shared purpose.”
“Thank you, Old Wade!”
Estelle and Jonathan spoke in unison, each taking a teacup from the tray.
Jonathan chuckled. “If you scold her, it’ll be my heart that aches.”
Old Mr. Jarvis laughed heartily, then turned to Estelle, his tone growing more earnest.
“You’re truly an adult now. You heard what Jonathan and I said. When you join his family, you must respect your in-laws and care for the younger generation. No more willfulness, and don’t you dare bully Jonathan.”
For once, Estelle looked entirely serious, like a diligent student.
“I’ll listen to you, Grandpa.”
“Good, good!” Old Mr. Jarvis nodded in satisfaction, repeating himself. “Now, get up.”
Estelle bowed deeply three times to Old Mr. Jarvis, all her gratitude and reluctance to leave conveyed in that silent gesture.
Old Mr. Jarvis turned his head away as a tear traced a path down his white sideburns.
