Sylvia entered the living room and gave Estelle a hug, her eyes soft and gentle. “Congratulations. The wedding was perfect. Everyone was so moved!”
“Thank you,” Estelle said with a warm smile.
Sylvia stepped back and introduced her companion. “This is Grace.”
Estelle stared at the woman in front of her for a moment, then asked in surprise, “Are you my mentor's daughter, Vivian?”
Grace smiled and nodded. “Yes. I’ve heard your name as well. I know you’re my father’s favorite student. It’s a shame we’ve never met until now.”
Estelle was touched that Grace had come to her wedding. “Does your father know you’re here?”
Because of what had happened with Evelyn, she knew a little about the situation between Grace and her father and how much he missed his daughter.
Grace said, “We’ve already seen each other.”
Estelle nodded. “That's good.”
Grace then asked, “I heard you were the one who found Evelyn in Tripe and brought her back. Regardless of whether she is my biological daughter or not, I want to thank you.”
Estelle smiled serenely. “You don’t have to thank me. To be honest, I was worried I might be getting your and your father's hopes up for nothing.”
Grace shook her head gently. “Not at all. It’s been so many years, and there have been many false leads. I can accept whatever the outcome may be.”
Looking at her calm demeanor, Estelle thought she understood why Grace hadn't rushed back for a DNA test.
Meeting Estelle for the first time, Grace was struck by her beauty and her tranquil, composed presence. Though she looked young, she had an aura of clarity and open-mindedness, much like Sylvia.
This created an instant sense of warmth.
Her voice grew even gentler. “I’m teaching art to some children in the mountains in C City. I’ll be done in about two days, and then I’ll head back to J City for the test. No matter what, I shouldn’t let your kindness go to waste.”
They chatted for a while before Sylvia's phone rang. She glanced at the screen, then stood up to take the call in a quieter spot.
It was Eugene. He asked where she was, saying he had something to talk to her about.
Sylvia asked for his location and told him she would come find him.
After hanging up, Sylvia excused herself to Estelle and the others and left.

Eugene was waiting for Sylvia in a small garden. The garden was bustling with people strolling and taking pictures. He sat under a patio umbrella with two cocktails and some cake that he had ordered from a server, waiting for her to arrive.
Within a few minutes, he heard footsteps.
He turned and stood up, a warm smile on his face as he met the sun. “Sylvia!”

As the plot thicken. Adrian is done for and he can't try to control Norah, so he'd probably tattle to Janice who's gone for two weeks. Thank you soooo much for the updates....
