Norah, sitting nearby, asked curiously, "How do you crash the bridal chamber? I want to do it too..."
She trailed off as Jonathan shot her a chilling look. Her flower-like smile instantly withered, and she scooted closer to Xavier.
Jonathan spoke, "The others have already gone to bed. Xavier, you watch Norah and make sure she gets to sleep early too."
With a direct order from the groom, Xavier had no choice but to comply. He gave a faint nod. "Don't worry."
At Jonathan's words, Norah's spirits soared, and she completely forgot about crashing the bridal chamber.
Morrison was already by Magdalen's side, helping her to her feet. "None of your tricks would stump the bride and groom anyway. Let's not make fools of ourselves. Time for bed."
Magdalen thought about it and had to agree. She broke free from Morrison, turned back to hug Estelle, and said, "Now I'm truly handing you over to Jonathan. Your happiness is my happiness. We both have our happy endings!"
Emily chuckled to Marina beside her. "She's definitely drunk."
"I can tell," Marina laughed.
Magdalen turned to them. "What are you laughing at? Just wait until you get married. Ella and I will see how you like being laughed at!"
The two of them just laughed harder.
Estelle gently patted Magdalen's head. "I know what you mean to say."
"Ella!" Magdalen hugged her tightly again, her sentimental tone suddenly replaced by a carefree one. "A moment of spring night is worth a thousand pieces of gold. I won't waste any more of your time or money. I'm off!"
The others also began to rise. Charlie went to Emily's side, took her hand, and leaned in to say softly, "Let's go too. Since our wedding is next, we need to leave ourselves a way out."
Carson and Jason understood immediately and, without another word, led their partners away.
Estelle nodded. "I was very happy."
Jonathan gently pulled Estelle into his arms, his fingers stroking her hair and cheek. He chuckled softly. "I've been preparing for this day for a long time. With every single thing I prepared, I kept wondering, 'Will Ella like this? What will her expression be?' I thought everything at the wedding was for you, but when you appeared before me in your wedding dress today, I finally realized this wedding is for both of us. Everything I did to please you ultimately pleased myself."
Estelle leaned closer into his embrace, smiling silently. She could, of course, see that every element of the wedding was something she loved.
Even her sweet tooth was now known to the whole world.
"We held our wedding here," Jonathan said, his voice gentle. "In the future, when we have children, we'll bring them here for vacations. And when we're old, we'll come here to retire. How does that sound?"
Estelle frowned slightly. "You've already thought that far ahead?"
Jonathan's eyes were filled with endless tenderness. "Is it that far? Think about how many years we've already known each other."
