Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2824

When they arrived at the Jarvis estate, Old Wade was already waiting for them at the main gate.

"Old Mr. Wade!" Estelle walked over briskly. "I'm back!"

"Ah, wonderful!" Old Wade beamed at Estelle, his eyes filled with joy and delight.

Jonathan walked up, greeted Old Wade, and they went inside together.

Old Mr. Jarvis had been so eager to see Estelle that he was already on his way to the gate. He spotted her in the courtyard and broke into a smile before she even reached him.

During the meal, the family once again brought up the DNA test for Evelyn and Georgia.

"Georgia called me this morning," Gabriel said. "She said she can be back in J City by tomorrow."

Estelle had a feeling that after meeting Evelyn, Georgia had become more invested in the test, as if she were eager to sever all ties with her.

It seemed the rift between them was indeed deep.

"In that case," Old Mr. Jarvis began slowly, "we should all go over tomorrow as well. This is a major event for the Quintin family; we should be there."

Gabriel, who was also keen to know the result, added, "Then we'll go to J City with Estelle and Jonathan tomorrow."

"Good," Old Mr. Jarvis nodded.

And so the matter was settled for the time being.

After the meal, just like old times, Jonathan and Gabriel chatted while Estelle joined Old Mr. Quintin by the pond for some fishing and a game of chess.

The sun made Estelle drowsy. She curled up in the wicker chair, her eyes half-closed as she played chess with Old Mr. Jarvis, and was soundly defeated.

"Grandpa!" Estelle lifted her eyelids, her voice lazy. "Can I stay the night?"

"Of course you can! We should keep the good traditions and get rid of the outdated ones," Old Mr. Jarvis laughed. "I was planning on having you eat the fish I catch for dinner tonight!"

Estelle smiled. "But I recognized every single one of them at first glance."

"I've already told Bruce to handle the matter you mentioned to me," Gabriel added.

Estelle knew he was referring to the ashes of Shadow and the others. "Thank you, Gabriel."

"Don't be so formal with me," he glanced at her. "Besides, this isn't just your burden to bear."

Estelle smiled without replying.

Gabriel then asked Jonathan, "Where are you planning to go for your honeymoon?"

"We don't have a specific place in mind. We can go wherever we feel like, whenever we want. But Ella and I agreed to wait until the situation at the Quintin's is resolved before we leave."

Old Mr. Jarvis mused, "That's a good idea. After all, Estelle was the one who brought Evelyn back, so she should be there to witness the outcome. You can leave a couple of days later."

Estelle mumbled with her mouth full, "I'm not in any hurry at all."
