Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2865

Gabriel replied with perfect composure, “I forgot.”

Sylvia turned in his arms, her eyes flickering with mischief as she shot him a seductive smile. “Then from now on, I’ll transfer the money every single time. That way, I’ll feel reassured.”

Gabriel’s eyes, half-lidded and dark, fixed steadily on her. “Do you really find lying to yourself that entertaining?”

“I do!” Sylvia shot back, her beautiful eyes narrowing at him. “But it’s no fun when you call me out on it!”

With that, Sylvia tried to push him away and get out of bed.

Gabriel caught her hand and pressed it down against the mattress, a hint of a sly smile tugging at his lips. “Since you’re paying for a service, Ms. Jarvis, I guess I should make sure you’re completely satisfied.”

Sylvia reached up and kissed him, and while he was distracted, she quickly flipped their positions so she was on top. Her stunning face was alight with a kind of irresistible boldness; her breaths came a little faster as she hovered above him, then leaned down and kissed him hard.

Gabriel let her have her way.

After all, she was the one footing the bill.

...

Suddenly, the phone on the nightstand exploded with sound, ringing insistently. Sylvia tried to ignore it, but the ringing just wouldn’t stop.

She pressed a soothing kiss to Gabriel before stretching over to grab her phone, curious who could be calling her so early on a Saturday morning.

But when she saw the caller ID, her eyes widened in surprise, and the phone nearly slipped through her fingers.

It was Georgia. Her mother.

The persistent ringing urged her on. She steadied her breath, swiped to answer, and managed a slightly shaky, “Mom!”

She felt just like a kid caught red-handed.

Georgia’s gentle laughter came through the phone. “Sleeping in on the weekend? Have you had breakfast yet?”

“Not yet, I’ll go eat in a bit,” Sylvia replied obediently.
