Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3205

Just as the words left her mouth, Norah and Adrian walked out of the building together.

Jenny immediately jogged over. "Norah!"

Putting on an eager, friendly front for Adrian's benefit, Jenny smiled. "Are you and the boss heading out?"

Since she had rejected Jenny's offer to be roommates earlier, Norah saw no reason to hide the truth now. "Thanks for giving me the idea, Jenny. I realized living closer to the office would be a lot more convenient. Adrian is coming with me to check out an apartment today."

Jenny feigned surprise. "You're looking at apartments? What a coincidence, Gillian and the others were thinking of moving too. We should all go together!"

Norah could easily tell that the four of them had been waiting specifically for her. If they wanted to tag along on her apartment viewing, she had a pretty good guess as to what Jenny was scheming.

Before Norah could respond, Adrian smoothly intervened. "Let's all go, then. You can help Norah decide if the place is any good."

Jenny batted her eyelashes at Adrian, turning up her charm. "You're right, Boss. After the viewing, dinner is on me."

"Why would you pay?" Adrian let out a brief laugh. "I'm treating."

"Thank you, Boss!" Jenny clasped her hands behind her back, flashing a sugary-sweet smile.

The group piled into their cars and headed to the residential complex Norah had selected.

It was a high-end property nearby, less than a ten-minute drive away—even faster if they took the pedestrian route. The moment they pulled through the gates, the color drained from Jenny's face.

This complex was in an entirely different league than the ones she had shown Norah. Naturally, the rent here would be astronomical.

Riding shotgun in Jenny's car, Gillian stared at Adrian's vehicle ahead of them and muttered, "Do you think the boss is paying for Norah's place?"

Jenny's expression turned ugly. "An assistant having the CEO pay for her apartment? What is that? Being a sugar baby?"

Gillian shot her a warning look. "Make sure you don't say anything like that in front of him."

"Rent here has to be outrageous," Gillian whispered. "Would one month's salary even cover it?"

"I thought we were just coming for a viewing," another colleague murmured. "Why did the agent call it 'her new home'? Is it already a done deal?"

"Agents just say things like that to flatter potential renters," Jenny dismissed with a wave of her hand. "Don't read into it."

The others nodded in agreement.

The apartment was located on the twenty-seventh floor. After leading them down a spacious corridor and into an artfully designed private vestibule, the agent unlocked the double doors and gestured grandly. "Welcome home, Ms. Lamont."

Because her family had handled all the paperwork and logistics, this was Norah's first time actually seeing the property.

From now on, this would be her own private sanctuary. She hadn't felt overly emotional about it before, but the moment she crossed the threshold, a sudden thrill of anticipation washed over her.

"Wow!" Gillian couldn't stop the gasp from escaping her lips.
