Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3225

She didn't even know if the neighbor was a man or a woman yet, and Adrian was already overthinking it!

Jenny felt a growing knot of envy as she watched their natural, effortless dynamic.

Once Norah left, the warm smile vanished from Adrian's face as he turned his full, serious attention to the file. Jenny had planned to strike up a casual chat with him just like Norah had, but seeing his sudden stern expression completely drained her courage.

"All set," Adrian said, signing the document and sliding it back to her.

Jenny gathered the paperwork, her eyes darting slightly as she bit her lip and smiled. "Boss, do you have plans after work? Our department is going out for dinner tonight. Would you like to join us?"

"No, I have plans," Adrian replied without looking up, his tone polite but distant.

"Oh!" Jenny murmured, slightly embarrassed. "I'll head out then. Let me know if you need anything."

"Mhm," Adrian hummed flatly.

Jenny turned and walked out, unable to suppress her bitter disappointment. Stepping out of the office, she spotted Norah chatting happily with other colleagues, and her expression instantly soured.

Work ended a little early that day. Adrian tried to escort Norah home, but she firmly rejected the offer. She had finally moved out and had no intention of being babysat like a minor.

Besides, she knew he had a business dinner to attend.

Left with no choice, Adrian repeatedly warned her that if her neighbor turned out to be a man, she wasn't allowed to eat his food again or entertain any advances.

Norah nodded along until Adrian finally watched her leave.

On the way home, Norah stopped by a bakery and picked up two premium desserts.

Taking the elevator up to the twenty-seventh floor, she deliberately slowed her pace as she passed the neighboring door, hoping the occupant might conveniently step out.

Unfortunately, despite her lingering and constantly glancing back while unlocking her own door, the neighbor never appeared.

Entering her apartment, she found that the housekeeper had perfectly cleaned the kitchen she destroyed the night before, and the insulated container was washed and spotless.

Norah beamed. "Getting to sleep in for an extra hour every morning is absolutely amazing!"

Janice chuckled, shaking her head. "Looks like your wings are fully grown. You don't even want to come home anymore."

Norah was quick to correct her. "I still miss you, Grandma, Grandpa, and Henson."

Janice smiled warmly. "Your grandmother has her hands full lately. She spends every day dreaming up designs for Estelle's nursery. She even insists on hand-sewing the baby's clothes herself. And your grandfather has had his nose buried in baby name books since yesterday."

The mention of Estelle's baby filled Norah with uncontrollable excitement. "Jonathan must be incredibly, unbelievably happy!"

"Of course he is!" Janice laughed. "The moment Estelle's pregnancy was confirmed, Jonathan encouraged her to drop all her projects. Now he insists she goes to work with him every day. Estelle was even complaining to Henson about it while they were gaming together yesterday."

Norah grinned. "The fact that he still lets her game means Jonathan is at least being somewhat reasonable!"

Janice's eyes softened with affection. "He knows better than to push her too hard, or Estelle would absolutely rebel."
