Norah nodded. "Khloe just got back from her business trip. She wants to come see the new apartment."
Adrian glanced at his schedule for the day and grinned. "I'm crashing it. I'll cover dinner and all the drinks!"
Norah laughed. "Sure, I'll let Sara and Khloe know in the group chat."
Suddenly remembering something, Adrian asked, "Has that neighbor of yours bothered you again lately? Is it a guy or a girl? Have you even met them yet?"
"He—" Norah started to reply, but a sharp knock on the door interrupted her.
The manager of the planning department stepped in to report on a project.
Cutting the casual chatter short, Norah let Adrian get back to business and slipped out to handle her own work.
As she left the CEO's office, she couldn't help but wonder what kind of look would cross Adrian's face if she told him her neighbor was actually Gonzalez.
That afternoon, Gonzalez texted her. He had a business dinner and would be home late, so he asked if she could look after Circe.
He had recently let the pet sitter go, meaning whenever he was out, taking care of Circe fell entirely on Norah's shoulders.
With guests coming over tonight, she knew she wouldn't have time for their usual tutoring session anyway. His dinner plans worked out perfectly.
She typed a quick reply: *[I'll bring Circe over to my place after work. Just come grab her when you get home.]*
Gonzalez: *[Alright. Grab dinner out tonight, don't wait up for me.]*
Norah stared at the message. That strange, fluttery feeling flared up in her chest again. Before she could dwell on it, a coworker approached her desk to discuss a project. She set her phone face-down, forgetting to reply.

After work, Adrian and the girls gathered at Norah's apartment.
Khloe had brought souvenirs from her trip abroad for everyone, including Adrian.

Thank you so much for the updates today. Now that Yvonne knows that Gonzalez has established who's really in charge of the Hansen house hold she and her mother are treading carefully. It will be interesting to see how Jenny will get the information to see if Adrian is paying for Norah....
