Yvonne also wore a demure, gentle smile. "Mr. Lamont, it's been a while!"
In the past, Yvonne had visited the Lamonts every few days just to curry favor with Catherine. Lately, she really had been coming around less.
Geoffrey chuckled dryly. "Yvonne, no filming recently?"
Yvonne replied respectfully, "We just wrapped up my new movie, so I'm resting at home."
Norah stood beside Geoffrey and greeted the mother and daughter. "Mrs. Hanson, and... Ma'am!"
Yvonne's smile stiffened slightly, and she forced a joking tone. "Ma'am? Have I really aged that much?"
Norah didn't miss a beat. "We can't ignore the generational gap!"
Yvonne nodded awkwardly. "Right... It's been a while. You're as well-behaved as ever, Norah!"
She reached out to gently guide Geoffrey's arm. "Mr. Lamont, let's head inside to chat!"
Norah smoothly hooked her arm through her grandfather's. "I've got him. No need to trouble yourself, Ma'am!"
Yvonne, overly concerned with her image and highly sensitive about her age, seethed internally every time Norah threw a "Ma'am" at her. But she didn't dare show her displeasure. "Our families are practically one and the same. There's no need to be so polite, Norah."
The Hanson family escorted Geoffrey and Norah into the villa, where a row of staff stood waiting to welcome them respectfully.
Simon Hanson walked out of the sitting room, beaming. "Geoffrey, come, sit!"
His expression grew even warmer when he saw Norah. "Norah came too! You're getting more gorgeous every time I see you—you look even more like a movie star than our Yvonne! Do you have a boyfriend yet? If you find someone, make sure your grandfather screens him properly!"
Norah laughed brightly. "No boyfriend yet. I'm still young. My career comes first!"
Simon immediately looked impressed, turning to Geoffrey. "Even the youngest girls in the Lamont family are so career-driven!"
Hannah came over with a fruit platter, looking the picture of maternal affection. "Norah, you've been out of college for two years now, right? Still no boyfriend? Want me to introduce you to someone? I know plenty of outstanding young men!"
Norah offered a polite smile. "Thank you, Mrs. Hanson, but I'll pass. If you have any good candidates, you should save them for Yvonne!"
Taking a sip of his tea, Geoffrey asked, "Is Gonzalez not home?"
Norah, holding her herbal tea, immediately perked up.
Simon's hand paused on his teacup. He gave a thin smile. "He's been too busy with company matters. He's not staying here."
Geoffrey looked surprised, likely not expecting Gonzalez to have moved out so soon after returning. He frowned slightly. "Not even for the weekend?"
At the mention of Gonzalez, Simon looked as if he didn't even know where to begin.
Geoffrey set down his teacup, speaking earnestly. "Gonzalez has been out on his own for so many years. It's only natural he'd have trouble adjusting to being back. You should be more understanding with him."
Before Simon could say anything, Yvonne chimed in. "Mr. Lamont, you can't blame my dad for this. My brother's personality... it's really hard to live with him. We've tried our best."
Norah's clear, sharp gaze swept over to her. "What's wrong with Gonzalez?"
