Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3347

Norah's eyes widened in shock. "Are they..."

Gonzalez gave a slight nod. "Exactly what you're thinking."

Norah's face was filled with astonishment, quickly followed by guilt. "In the end, it was my fault for getting you into this!"

"Stop taking the blame for everything," Gonzalez said, gently stroking her cheek. "You didn't know how filthy their secrets were."

Norah was still utterly confused. "If Hannah did this for Trevor, why was Yvonne so willing to go along with it?"

This involved her reputation. She was a famous actress; even playing the victim in a scandal like this wasn't exactly good press.

A thoughtful look crossed Gonzalez's face. "She probably didn't know about it a dozen years ago. I remember when I came out of the bathroom back then, she was fast asleep. Even when Hannah came in making a huge scene, she didn't wake up, so she must have been used by her mother. But this time... I don't know how Hannah convinced her."

A chill ran down Norah's spine. Hannah was truly ruthless. She would actually use her own daughter like this?

Was there anything she wouldn't do?

But she was undeniably venomous. She knew that this kind of scandal was the sharpest weapon to destroy Gonzalez and the exact trigger to shatter Simon Hanson. That was why she had succeeded over and over.

Norah felt the key to breaking this wide open still lay with Mrs. Atkins. "Can we find Mrs. Atkins?"

"We can, but she took Hannah's money and was likely threatened by her. She might not tell the truth," Gonzalez replied.

"Let's go find her right now and bring her to the Hanson house," Norah said, immediately standing up.

Gonzalez grabbed her hand, his voice steady. "There's no rush."

"How can you say there's no rush?" Norah asked anxiously. "The rumors are already swirling out there."

Gonzalez gave a gentle tug, pulling her right into his lap. He reached up to trace the line of her jaw, his gaze turning dark and intense. "Let me just look at you for a minute."

After a long while, he pulled back. His rough thumb gently stroked the corner of her mouth as he spoke in a husky whisper. "You remember everything now, which means I have to apologize to you. I'm sorry you got hurt so badly because of me."

Norah lowered her gaze, her voice dropping. "Do you have any idea how heartbroken I was that day?"

"I'm sorry." The man peppered kisses all over her face.

Norah looked up at him with tear-bright eyes. "If I hadn't gotten into that accident, were you really going to be with Carol?"

Gonzalez frowned and answered honestly, "I don't know."

Norah glared at him, feigning anger. "Say that again!"

Gonzalez let out a low chuckle and captured her lips again. The girl's little temper only thickened the seductive tension in the air. He just wanted to stay like this with her forever.

Her lips were so soft, so sweet—he could never get enough.
