Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3445

Marina looked down with a soft smile. "I want to know why you chose to collaborate with me."

"Because I accidentally found your work and instantly fell in love with it," Nocturne explained. "The urge to work with you just kept growing. It took a lot of digging to get your email from your old college advisor. I wasn't even sure you'd see it. I've been nervous about it all day."

His utter sincerity left Marina genuinely touched. "Thank you for holding my work in such high regard."

"So, does this mean you're in?" Nocturne asked cautiously.

Marina's voice steadied. "I need to be clear upfront. I have a demanding day job and a very tight schedule. I can only carve out about two hours a day to draw."

"That's more than enough," he replied instantly.

His absolute lack of hesitation made her beam. "As long as you're okay with the time constraints, then I'm fully on board."

"That is incredible!" The excitement in his voice was unmistakable. "I'll introduce you to my editor later so we can set up a group chat. He already drafted a partnership agreement detailing the profit split. Whether it's base pay or future adaptation royalties, we split everything fifty-fifty—"

"No need for that," Marina interrupted with a warm laugh. "Just sign the contract yourself. I don't want any cut of the profits."

"I can't let you do that," he insisted. "I know you're doing this out of pure passion, but binding ourselves financially ensures our partnership remains stable."

Marina understood where he was coming from. "Fine. But there's no rush to sign anything. Could you send over the outline first? Let me see what ideas it sparks."

"Of course. I'll email it over. It's not fully finalized yet, and there are a few plot points I need your input on. I'm also hoping you can handle the emotional arcs for the main characters."

He continued, "Since it's a post-apocalyptic story, the romantic subplots are sparse, but they act as the soul of the narrative. They're critical."

Marina listened intently. "Let me read it first."

The email arrived seconds later. She read through it, taking detailed notes while keeping Nocturne on a voice call to brainstorm on the fly. It took nearly two hours to digest the entire outline.

Marina was practically vibrating with excitement. "This is going to be a massive hit."
