“Austin, there are my women who can catch your eye. I really don’t know what tricks Ms. Wallace us to melt your key hem.”
Austin frowned shghtly just about to speak.

Mila got the most excited. “Shanny, do you want an autograph? I’ll go down and get one for you.”
They both liked this band, so Alicia didn’t refuse. “Hold on.”
Her eyes scanned the area, finally landing on the champagne–colored pocket square on the chest of a ma

She picked it out with two fingers and handed it to Mila. “Get them to sign this.”
“Okay.” Mila lifted her skirt happily and squeezed into the crowd, waving a glow stick and singing along.
The men around were drinking, and quite a few came over to toast Alicia.
Other than Austin and Liam, she accepted them all, keeping a very friendly attitude.
After finishing the round, Liam’s eyes fell on Betty, who was greeting guests in the distance. Because the music was so loud, the two stood very close. Holding his glass, Liam walked over.
Austin picked up his glass and looked at Alicia. She knew better than to be rude. “Mr. Burton. I’ll…”
He leaned in. A faint cold fragrance drifted over, his warm breath brushing her ear. “What?”
With all the noise in the club, standing close to talk was normal.
Even so, Austin leaning in like that felt unusual.
Alicia’s red lips brushed against his ear as she spoke clearly. “I wish you and Ms. Wallace along and happy marriage, and many children.”
She tapped her glass against his and drained it in one go.
Downstairs, Mila failed to get Summer Band’s autograph and was taken away by booty guards. At the entrance, Alicia saw a tall figure pulling Mila away without looking back.
A few minutes later, a message popped up in their group char

Alicia smiled faintly. She actually envied Mila a little.
Even though her uncle wasn’t related by blood, he treated her like family and cared for her deeply.

Unlike herself, after her mother died, no one really cared for her anymore.
The loud music around her suddenly felt pointless. She stood up to leave.
The escort noticed and quickly followed.
“Alicia, you said you’d take me with you.” His big eyes looked innocent.
“Can you drive?” she asked.
He nodded quickly. “I can.”
She tossed the car keys into his hand. “Let’s go.”
Before leaving, her eyes met Austin’s.
They were cold.

At the stairway corner, she saw Betty pinned against the wall by Liam, kissing her wildly.
Alicia wanted to stop them, but Betty gave her a pleading look. So Alicia pretended she hadn’t seen and walked away.
The world finally turned quiet once she stepped out of the club.
Seeing her stumble, the escort tried to help. “Alicia, let me hold
you up?”
Alicia smiled at him. “You don’t really want to hold me up. You want to sleep with me, don’t you?”
He blushed bright red. “I… I’m clean, Alicia. Let me stay with you tonight, okay?”
His sincerity reminded her of David. When he called her in that soft voice, it made her think men could be pure and gentle.
A younger guy might be fun, but she couldn’t get attached.
She had already been burned once. No way she’d let it happen again.
All she wanted was a driver.
She had drunk quite a bit tonight, and in her tipsy state, she got into the passenger seat.
The escort closed the door for her, and Alicia leaned against it, drifting off.
After a while, she heard the car door shut. Sleepiness washed over her, and without opening her eyes, she slurred out the Gibson Residence address.
