Gregory had already made up his mind. When the time came, there would be cars, houses, stock bonds-everything a girl could ever need. He’d make sure Viola married into a

prestigious, powerful family.

She would want for nothing her entire life.

Ten minutes later, breakfast was ready.

Gregory didn’t have anyone wake Celestine-she’d been too excited last night to sleep. The morning was cool, perfect for resting in.

As for Seraphina, he figured most young people liked to sleep in. No need to bother her either.

Breakfast was easy and cheerful. Viola kept the mood light, chatting and joking to keep Gregory smiling.

She felt relieved. Nothing had changed. Her place was still secure.

After the meal, Jack came over and whispered something in Gregory’s ear.

Gregory put down his newspaper and smiled at Viola, “Viola, come on. I’ve got a surprise to show you.”

A surprise? Her eyes lit up. He’d prepared a surprise for her?

Viola grabbed his arm, humming cheerfully as they walked toward the indoor garden area outside the main house.

As soon as they entered the room, a projection screen flipped open with a soft whoosh.

Above them, the lighting shifted into soft Monet-inspired grays and blues, like a dreamy sky. A fog machine kicked on, and rose petals started drifting through the air. The whole place smelled like a luxury perfume commercial.

Viola froze. Was… was this all for her?

When had Gregory and Celestine ever gone this far for her?

Ramona, always prepared, pulled out her phone and started filming.

Viola twirled slowly, soaking in the moment like a princess in a fairy tale. But then-she stopped cold.

Her eyes locked on the massive display ahead-nearly a thousand square feet of glass counters, all filled with glittering diamonds and luxury jewels. The lights danced across every surface, throwing sparkles in every direction.

It was… blinding.

She could hardly breathe. Oh my God, this isn’t a dream, right? This is huge. I can’t believe it!

Viola was about to rush back to thank Gregory-until she saw the doorway.

Celestine was walking in with a girl by her side, beaming with affection. Gregory stood behind them, his hands clasped, smiling like he’d just won the lottery.

The girl was tall and graceful, a breeze lifting the hem of her dress to reveal skin as fair as porcelain. Her sharp and clear eyes held a cool glint that seemed to see right through everything. Her features were stunning, every inch striking.

With the mist still hanging in the air, she looked almost unreal.

A fantasy.

That was her. Gregory and Celestine’s biological daughter.

Seraphina. And she was breathtaking.

“Seraphina, it’s hot out there. Come on in,” Gregory called warmly.

Then he looked over at Viola, still smiling, “Viola, come here. I want you to meet your sister. My daughter-Seraphina. Surprise, huh?”

What? Viola blinked.

Gregory chuckled. “Bet you didn’t see that coming, huh? A sister! Isn’t it a great surprise?”

Viola didn’t answer. Her face froze.

So this was the surprise? What about the jewelry? Who was all that for?

She took a deep breath, pushing down the rising knot in her chest. Then, with the most graceful smile she could manage, she stepped forward. “Hi, Seraphina. I’m Viola Drayven. I’m really happy I have a sister now. We can hang out together from now on.”

Gregory looked pleased.

He turned to Seraphina. “Viola’s from your uncle’s side. She’s been with us for

years-she’s
