Viola’s smile faltered the moment she heard his words. A hint of bitterness crept in, even as she forced herself to look pleasant.

Still, she kept her voice sweet as honey. “Oh? I thought I saw something inside…”

“Shhh,” Gregory cut in quickly. “That’s a surprise for your sister.”

“Stop chatting,” Celestine said with a bright smile, tugging Seraphina’s hand. “Come on, sweetheart. Go inside and see if you like what we picked for you.”

Viola’s chest tightened. Wait, those diamonds and gems are for Seraphina?

Not for her? And they were keeping it a surprise?

All she got today was being told to “acknowledge your sister”? This had to be a joke.

Seraphina followed Gregory and Celestine into the exhibit room. The moment she stepped in, glass displays filled her vision, packed with gleaming gemstones and luxury jewelry.

More than fifty brands had submitted pieces to compete for attention at tonight’s event.

Only three had made it to the final round-the top-tier, high-end brands, with the highest price tags.

Seraphina scanned the room lazily. At the center display, she spotted a collection she could recognize in her sleep: her own.

She rubbed her nose, biting back a smile. So the wealthy target her team had plotted to overcharge last night… was her own father?

Figures. Her staff had a reputation for pricing things through the roof. No doubt they went extra hard this time.

Gregory and Celestine had been showering her with gifts all day. It would feel a little dirty to keep draining their wallets without batting an eye. She felt a sliver of guilt. ()

“Pick any brand you like, sweetie,” Celestine said, dragging her toward the glass. “Whichever one you love, we’re buying the whole set!”

“And these green earrings are so unique!” Celestine chimed in, immediately placing them against Seraphina’s ears. She clapped in delight. “Look at that, honey! Isn’t she gorgeous?”

“She’s stunning. Anything she wears lights up,” Gregory said.

“Exactly!” Celestine agreed, pointing again. “That lapis necklace over there-we’re getting that

too.”

“And the labradorite bracelet, the clarity and cut are perfect,” she added. “We’ll take it.”

The two of them kept moving from case to case, choosing piece after piece-every single one from Queen, the brand Seraphina had founded herself.

She stood silently, a calm glint in her eyes, clearly weighing something in her mind. Viola’s hands curled into fists. Her expression twisted, lips trembling.

She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Gregory and Celestine had always doted on her— since she was a kid. But today, they acted like she didn’t even exist.
