Chapter 32 Across the Street
Seraphina was just about to respond when someone called out behind her, cutting off the conversation.
“Seraphina, over here!”
Cassian looked up and saw a young woman standing at the café entrance, waving in Seraphina’s direction.
Her best friend, obviously.
He let out a quiet sigh, straightened his posture, and carefully tucked his emotions away. Go.”
“Okay.”
She turned and walked off again without looking back. Well, that settles it. You really are a little traitor!
Cassian was just about to drive away when his phone vibrated.
He checked it. Victor.
Victor said, “Mr. Drayven, latest update. The Lunaria Core will be at the auction at three this afternoon.”
Cassian raised an eyebrow.
He looked toward the café again. There was no sign of her.
He glanced around at the surroundings. The café where she was meeting her friend was directly across from the auction venue.
Five minutes on foot. Was that really a coincidence?
At the same time, inside the café, Seraphina set her phone down on the counter, propped her head up with one hand, and stared blankly ahead.

Seraphina didn’t bother answering. She scanned the café. “There’s no one here anyway. Close it. I need some peace.”
“Tch. What, you booking the place now?”
“I’m not. You are.”
Asha looked up at the ceiling, speechless, then heard Seraphina add calmly, “And the auction this afternoon goes on your card.”
Asha stared at her. “Didn’t you just reconnect with your family? What, suddenly broke? I’m just saying, you got screwed over at Vales, then after finding your family you’re still getting screwed. Honestly, you were born unlucky.”

Seraphina accepted the five-star service without a second thought.
Starting at two in the afternoon, the area outside the auction venue became crowded and busy.
The parking lot was filled with private luxury cars, the cheapest ones still worth over a million.
The people stepping out were Valedawn’s elite. When they ran into familiar faces, they exchanged a few polite words.
They were then guided by attendants through different entrances.
General tickets had general access. Super VIP tickets had a private green channel.
All designed to ensure a quiet, comfortable, and exclusive auction experience.
Asha’s family was one of the auction’s shareholders, which meant top-tier treatment. There were only three diamond suites in the entire venue.
She and Seraphina occupied one.
“What are you looking at?” Asha asked curiously.
“Nothing,” Seraphina replied.
She had noticed Viola in the crowd. It was unexpected, but not worth spending energy on someone
