Chapter 35 All In
This was insane. The kind of money that steamrolled everything in its path.
One private room hesitated, then timidly added nine hundred and forty thousand.
The system announced, “Ten point one four million.”
The room erupted in groans. What was that supposed to do?
That kind of bump would not even register for the real heavy hitters.

Cassian had been quietly watching, but by now he understood exactly what was happening. The owner of the diamond suite was his rival.
Victor pressed the button. Three million more.
The system announced, “Thirteen point one four million.”
The venue went dead silent. Everyone stared at one another, chewing on the moment. The number sounded oddly neat.
Two power players were officially locking horns. Now this was getting good.
Cassian said, “Asha, add ten million.”
“Hell yes. This is wild.” Asha laughed out loud and slammed the button without hesitation.
The system announced, “Twenty three point one four million.”
Cold light flashed through Cassian’s dark eyes. “Add ten million.”
The system announced, “Thirty three point one four million.”
Seraphina’s lips curved, interest sparking. She straightened in her seat and pressed the button.
“Add twenty million.”
The system announced, “Fifty three point one four million.”
The entire room sucked in a breath. What is wrong with him? Is he even thinking straight?
The Lunaria Core was rare, sure, but fifty three million was pushing it past reason.
Asha stared at Seraphina in disbelief. Seraphina brushed it off. “I’m not letting this go.”
At the same time, Victor froze in the other private room.
“What is going on here?” Victor asked cautiously. “When did Valedawn get someone like this?”

He hesitated, then looked at Cassian. “Mr. Drayven, should we…”
“Add twenty million.”

Victor pinched the bridge of his nose, half afraid he might black out. The system announced again. “Seventy three point one four million.”
The bidding war had dragged on so long that the auctioneer was forced to step in. He announced an intermission and urged everyone to bid carefully.
Ten minutes.
“Seraphina, you can’t keep going,” Asha said, setting her food down, worry written all over her face. “The Lunaria Pill caps out at eighty million. At this price, there’s no margin left.”
The tension was just as bad in the other room.
Victor paced in tight circles, lowering his voice. “Mr. Drayven, this has gone past reasonable.”
Cassian’s gaze drilled into the wall, as if he could see straight through it and into the next room.
Victor caught the look and immediately summoned a staff member.
“Who’s in that suite?” Victor asked.
“Mr. Drayven, please don’t put me in this position,” the man said nervously. “We can’t disclose member information.”
“Say whatever you’re allowed to say,” Victor snapped.
“Two young women,” the man said, and refused to say another word,
Cassian waved him out. The ten minutes were up in a blink. The auctioneer returned, beaming.
“After an intense round of bidding, the Lunaria Core currently stands at seventy three point one four million. We’ll now continue.”
Asha gasped. “Seraphina, what are you doing?”
Seraphina pressed the button again. An additional fifty million.
The system announced, “One hundred twenty three point, one four million.”
Who is this person?
No one in the hall dared to breathe. Nearly a thousand people sat frozen, the silence so thick you could hear a pin drop.
All eyes shifted toward the other private room.
Cassian sat in the main seat, his expression unreadable. His long fingers tapped against the armrest
