A girl suddenly grabbed her friend by the shoulders and shook her hard, excitement spilling out of her, “Oh my god, Adrian is ridiculously good-looking. Seriously. Way too good-looking.”
Her friend was close to being shaken sick. “If you like him that much, then go after him.”
“I wouldn’t dare,” the girl said immediately. “He’s incredible. Studied overseas, comes from an academic family. I can’t even imagine how amazing a woman would have to be to marry someone like him.”
Seraphina tuned out the gossip completely.
She wasn’t interested in the chatter. What actually caught her attention was something else. Why did Adrian carry such clear hostility toward her?
After transferring to Valedawn University, the school had required an academic assessment. She admitted she hadn’t taken it seriously, but scoring in the twenties across multiple subjects didn’t add up.
Ding.
The elevator doors opened.
Seraphina stepped out at an unhurried pace. When she was about thirty feet from the classroom, she suddenly stopped, her eyes narrowing.
Huh. Interesting.
She had been bored anyway. Looks like something finally decided to happen.
She lowered her gaze, her expression relaxed as she continued forward. The classroom door was half-
open.
A sharp chill flickered through her eyes. She lifted her foot and kicked.
Bang.
The door slammed inward, tearing loose from its hinges. Water came crashing down.
The broken door shuddered violently, creaking under the strain, before finally giving out completely and slamming onto the floor.
“What the hell?”
Who did that, some kind of maniac?
Someone in the front row instinctively pulled out a skewer of food, stared at the scene, then quietly shoved it back into the bag.
The noise drew everyone’s attention. Heads turned in unison toward the entrance.
A foot came down hard on the fallen door, wood groaning under the weight. The sound alone made 1/3

everyone swallow.
Their eyes moved upward.
Long, straight legs came into view.
Under a simple casual outfit, her skin looked almost luminous. Combined with her striking features, she seemed to glow under the lights.
The tension snapped.
Relief was instantly replaced by excitement, a restless buzz spreading through the room/
“Holy hell. She’s gorgeous.”
“That skin. How is it even real? What does she use?”
Just as the murmurs started to build, Seraphina turned her head.
Her gaze swept across the room, cool and controlled, sharp enough to pin everyone in place.
Silence.
The kind of silence where even breathing felt too loud.
They watched as she walked to the front of the room, lifted a desk and chair with her bare hands, and carried them to the back.
No hesitation. No strain. No heavy breathing.
Everyone was stunned. How did she even do that?
Seraphina wiped her hands, sat down, and casually looked out the window toward the field.
That face alone made it hard to look away.
Slowly, people snapped out of it. Whispers broke out.
“Did humanity just upgrade without telling me?”
“That’s gotta be surgery.”
“No way. That’s natural. And that presence is unreal.”
“Yeah. She completely outclasses Viola.”
They were talking about Viola.
“Not just presence, her face too. How does someone like that even exist?”
“Hey, focus. Don’t forget why she’s here.”
