Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 109

Chapter 109

I pull Nick in for a quick hug, and then we hear a bang come from inside the store front. Next thing we know Hazel’s thrown through the room, landing hard on her back against the wall. I run over to Hazel and start helping her up. I turn and stop dead in my tracks. My father. He’s standing in front of the door, our only exit. He smiles his creepy smile, once he sees my face, his red eyes boring into mine. My hands subconsciously cover my stomach, trying to protect my babies.

He watches my movements and tilts his head. “I’ve been looking for you, Amy.” He says, but his eyes don’t move from my stomach. I see Nick slowly get into position for when he attacks. How the hell do we get out of this? Weak or not, Nick said he has a bit of combat training, but that’s against other humans. I doubt it’ll do much good with my father. My father finally stops looking at my stomach, he smiles and turns around to leave. Why the fuck is he leaving? “Keep those babies healthy, sweetheart! I’ll see you soon!” He yells back at me, as he leaves the store.

My soul leaves my body. Why would he say that to me? My eyes land on Hazel, who’s bleeding from various places. I jump into action and go grab a first aid kit from the bathroom, as Nick goes and makes sure my father

has left.

Once I have her all bandaged up, Nick comes back. “He’s gone, as far as I can tell.” He says breathing heavily. Okay, he’s gone for now. “We have to go.” I say looking at Nick, he nods. “Hazel…” I start, but she cuts me off.” I’m coming to, I can’t stay here anymore, and you’re going to need me.” I nod, not wanting to argue, not that there’s much to argue, she’s right. I just hate having another person apart of this.

“Help me gather some things, and then we can head to your motel to grab your things.” I nod, and Nick and I start grabbing whatever she tells us to. I pull out a couple books she tells me to, while she runs upstairs to grab some clothes. I bend down to the bottom shelve, and when I do I see a book shelved behind the rest. It’s small, black and covered in dust. I pull it out and blow the dust off, but before I can look through it, Hazel’s already back downstairs, yelling at us to move. I throw it on top of the batch and and we go to Hazel’s suv. Nick’s sad about leaving his car, but it makes more sense to change up the car and this one has more room.

Once we leave the motel with our things we’re on the road. Everybody’s silent. “He wants my babies?” I ask, already knowing the answer. Nick and Hazel both look at me, and then look down. All the answer I needed.
