“What the fuck are you doing?” I ask Clara, who for some reason is touching my arm. She smiles, “I just came because I wanted to talk to you about my dads plans.” She says and moves her hands up my arm to my shoulder. I pull her hand off me, “We had no meeting scheduled for today. And I would prefer you not touch me. What are you trying to do?” She looks down and starts playing with her fingers.
“Liam, you know we’ve been getting closer. I just don’t want her to come back and ruin what progress you’ve made getting over her.” She says and I chuckle, “You really are delusional, Clara. We haven’t been getting closer, we’ve been working together. And I’ve never made any progress getting over her, and if I had it wouldn’t have been with you.” Her mouth falls open and I see her tears brimming. “Liam, I…”
‘Amy fainted, again!’ Dallas mind-linked me. I don’t bother listening to Clara and race down the stairs. Amy’s laying down on the couch with both the kids holding her hands. “What happened?” I look around the room. Dallas answers,
“I’m not sure, she walked down the stairs and just fainted.” I hear the front door slam behind me, but I ignore it, I’m sure Clara isn’t happy right now. But she should have known I would never want her. I’ve never given her any indication I would. “Mom, can you take the kids upstairs?” I ask her, and she smiles going to grab the kids hands. Heather takes her hand, but Griffon seems apprehensive. I go kneel next to him, ” Your mommy will be okay. We just need to check on her.” I tell him, he looks up at Amy, but then takes my mom’s hand and they all walk upstairs.
“Hopefully, it doesn’t mean her wolf is leaving faster, since it’s happened so close together.” Dallas says looking worried and I shake my head. “No, she said she talked to her wolf. She’s not the one doing this. She thinks it’s her father causing this.” I say, as I walk up to her and sit down placing her head on my lap. I run my hand through her hair as Nick walks into the room. “Her weakness might be because of her father, but her fainting I think has to do with her stress levels added to her growing weakness. The first time it happened, there was someone at her work stalking her, there were a few more incidents and then Dallas showing up after so many years, and I’m guessing you and hers conversation wasn’t stress free.” He looks at me accusingly but shakes his head. “I’m not blaming you, I’m just saying, I think when her stress levels get too high, she faints. Just like when her anger gets too high, her wolf tries to escape.” He finishes.
I look down at Amy, Goddess she’s just literally never had it easy. Even before all of this crap with her father she had to deal with the kids at school. “Her stalker?” I look up at him. He smiles, “Again, taken care of. I took care of any problem we had, while she was away from you.” I look down at her, I should have been the one taking care of her problems. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t find anything to take down her father.
“How long was she out last time?” I ask Dallas, he frowns, “Two hours.” Nick sighs, “It’s just getting worse. The first time was only a couple minutes, but now it’s two hours. We really need to figure something out and fast.” He finishes, looking down at Amy like he can’t live without her. I feel a sprang of jealously when we hear a knock at the door.
