Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 151

Chapter 151

I sit in the middle of the circle again, looking at this disgusting concoction. Honestly, now that I know what it tastes like, I’m not sure I’ll be able to drink it. Plus, the pain. Urg.

‘You could always not do it, and we can figure something else out.’ Liam says, and I look at him rolling my eyes. Let’s just trade places and I’ll be concerned about you, while you drink this.’ I say in my head back to Liam, while he smirks. ‘I would in a heartbeat, if I could.’ Liam reply’s and I sigh.

Disgusting concoction it is.

The ritual starts exactly the same, just a slight tingly sensation in my stomach. Then I have to drink the black liquid.

My vision goes blurry again, then everything goes black.

When I open my eyes again, I’m in the same room as my father. My eyes widen, and I start to back up. He looks mostly the same, but his eyes aren’t red, they’re… Brown?

He doesn’t seem to see me. What’s going on? How am I here?

“Heather! Where are you?” He shouts into the house. Heather?

My whole body freezes when I see a younger version of my mom come down the hallway. Her face is covered in tears, and she’s clutching something in her hands.

“Mom.” I whisper and start to walk towards her. I can’t believe she’s really here. Neither of them looks at me, like I’m not even here.

My father runs over to her, grabbing her face and looking at her with concern etched into his face. “What’s wrong? What happened?”

My mom sobs then hands him what’s in her hands. “I know we’ve been careful. And I know how much you don’t want kids. I don’t know how this happened.” My mom says through broken sobs.

I watch, almost memorized. Is this a memory?

My father’s eyes go wide as he looks at the pregnancy test. “You’re pregnant?”

My vision goes black, until it lightens again, and I’m in the same room. My mom pacing back and forth, clearly pregnant, occasionally glancing at my father. Who is sitting on the couch, his elbows on his knees, with head buried in his hands.

“No. No. No!” My father yells, standing on his feet, glaring at my mom. “You can’t be a wolf. That’s not possible!” My mom lets out a sob. “I’m sorry. I should have told you sooner, but it is what I am. And you’re my mate.” My mom tries explaining, desperate for him to believe her.

My father stares at her, a million emotions running over his face. “You have to leave.” He tells her, and my moms eyes widen, and her mouth falls open. “You’re leaving me?” She whispers.

He closes his eyes and looks at the ground shaking his head. His demeanor softens and his body shakes, as he walks over to my mom, gripping her chin and forcing her to look at him. “You’re not safe with me.”

My vision goes black again.

When my vision returns, I’m in the same room, but there’s only a small candle lit on the coffee table. My father sitting with his head in his hands, his body shaking as soft sobs leave him.

“Please. Not her.” He begs… Himself? “Please. I’ll find someone else. You can have their souls. Not hers, not this babies.”

I watch in bewilderment. Is he trying to protect my mom and me?

He lifts his head, I see tears falling down his cheeks, his eyes bloodshot. “You’ll give me what I’m owed.” That voice I recognize. That’s the voice I heard the night my mom died. Full of evil, full of vengeance.

I take a step back, when he looks right at me. Can he see me? He stands up and starts walking towards me, then walks right through me, to the door.

I let out a breath of air, then everything goes black again.

When my vision returns again, I’m looking at… No!

I see my father start laughing, as I look around my house. The house I grew up in. The house my mom raised me.

Vision me takes off, rushing down the stairs. But I watch my father. He races after me, but his hand darts out, grabbing the railing and holding tight. Causing him to slow down and fall onto the stairs. He growls frustrated, then sets down the gun, grabbing his other arm and pulling it off the railing. Like he didn’t have control of that limb.

I watch confused as he picks up his gun and races down the stairs, faster than what should be normal, pointing the gun and pulling the trigger.

He growls frustrated, when he doesn’t hit his mark. He’s about to start chasing me, when his whole-body freezes.

He growls, “You’re only preventing the inevitable. I will have her soul too!” My father yells at himself. But his body still seems frozen. I watch as I make it to Liam’s, slamming the door shut behind me.

“Urg! Fine! I’ll leave for now, but you won’t be able to stop me forever!” He screams, turning around and heading for the back door.

My vision goes black again. When I wake up, I’m in the middle of the star. Surrounded by all my friends.

Liam has tears in his eyes as he looks at me, and I let out a sob.

I’m wrapped in Liam’s arms before my next breath. While my floodgates open and I cry into Liam’s chest.

My father isn’t evil.
