Chapter 150

After a blissful afternoon, locked in Liam’s room we head downstairs to talk to the others. We would have stayed longer if we could have but tonight’s the full moon. We don’t have time.

I want to be embarrassed about what our friends witnessed this afternoon, but Liam assures me he didn’t do anything but kiss me until they were out of the room. I’m also having trouble caring. I couldn’t have stopped myself if I tried, I was laser focused on one person, my mate.

Goddess, will it ever not feel strange saying that?

‘Maybe for you. I however had that moment pictured in my mind for years.’ Liam says in my head, like a creep. Are you just always going to be listening to my thoughts?’ I ask him, and he chuckles. ‘As long as you let me.’

I roll my eyes, then realize what he said. I can’t hear his thoughts! How can he hear mine, but I can’t hear his?’ Because you can put up a block. I don’t want to overload you, so I put it up. I’ll explain how to do it. Everyone’s entitled to their private thoughts.’ Liam finishes.

I nod, then we make it downstairs. Mia runs into me, hugging me, then pulling back and looking at my mark. I’m so happy for the two of you!” She exclaims and I chuckle, smiling at her. “Thank you.”

We walk further in and Dallas hands me a glass of wine, then puts his in the air. Everybody joins, “To the future Alpha and Luna!” Dallas exclaims, and I blanch.

Why has that thought not crossed my mind. Future Luna. Can I really be the Luna of a pack? ‘Not much choice now, Angel. But either way, you’ll be an amazing Luna.’ Liam says in my head, pulling my closer to him by my waist. I look up at him giving him a small smile.

I guess as long as he’s here to help me, I can handle it. ‘Always.’ He says looking into my soul.

We all sit around the table and start talking about last night. I explain what happened, and they explained what they’ve done to Clara. Liam sends out warriors to retrieve Andy’s body, and then we decide we need to talk about what’s going to go down tonight.

“I had a thought.” I say, quietly, already knowing Liam’s not going to like this. “No.” Liam all but growls. I put my hand on Liam’s thigh, then look back at Hazel.

“The connection. The ritual for him to change is all based around the full moon. Do you think we need a full moon for the connection to be broken?” I ask, her eyes widen, and she nervously looks over at Liam.

“No! You could barely stand after the spell last night!” He says, and I grimace. He’s not wrong. “I feel better, now that I have my wolf. She’s not healing me, but I feel stronger.” I explain, and he growls.

“You can’t keep putting yourself through this. It’s going to kill you.” Liam tries to reason with me, but I look at him with sad eyes, “Liam, if my father gets to me. It might kill me and our kids. We literally don’t have a choice. This connection has to be broken. And I have a strong feeling this is why it didn’t work last night.” I tell him, and he starts rubbing his forehead aggressively. “Fuck.” He whispers, squeezing my thigh tightly.

‘Maybe it’ll be easier this time, since you’ll be able to be with me in here.’ I say into his mind. He looks up at me with pleading eyes, then sighs, nodding his head.

I look back up at Hazel and she nods, standing up, going to get things ready. “I don’t know what time my father will be here, so we need to do it as soon as the moons in the sky.

They all nod, standing up and getting ready. Dallas grabs my hand and squeezes; I look up at him. He smiles softly giving me a knowing look as he glances at Liam, then walks

away.

I turn to Liam, but he’s already nodding, grabbing for his phone.

I smile, as he pushes the call button for his mom and my two beautiful babies are already on the screen. “Hey babies!” I say excitedly. Goddess, I’ve missed them.

“Mommy! Daddy!” Liam puts on a smile. “We have something to tell you.” Liam says and both the kids get serious. “Is the bad man gone? Can we come home?” Griffon asks, and we both shake our heads.

“Mommy and daddy are mates!” Liam explains, and we hear a scream through the line. Julia’s face pops into view and I chuckle at her.

“Oh my Goddess! Finally! Let me see!” Julia exclaims, while the kids cheer happily. “Does this mean we’ll be a family?” Griffon asks, and I feel a sharp pain pierce my heart. Liam puts his arm around my waist and gives me a reassuring squeeze.
