Chapter 153

“This might work, there’s a couple things I don’t really understand, but the spell is meant to expel something from something else. It could be risky though.” Hazel says skeptically.

Amy walks over to her and Hazel shows her the spell. “What are the risks?” Amy asks, and Hazel looks back at the book.

“Well, it can also permanently forge the object to. So, if we do something wrong, your dad would no longer be… Your dad, he’d be the evil entity inside him. Which would make it harder to kill him. Not to mention all magic like this comes with risk of the spell bearer and anyone involved, which in this case would have to be all of us, except one person.” She explains looking down at the book reading over it again.

“You need all of us?” I ask confused. She nods, “This spell requires a star and a source of power at each point and one in the middle.” She looks around the room, “Amy and I will have to be in the middle. Liam, you Walker, Cole and Dallas, will have to be four of the points because you’re the strongest here, so if we do this we’ll have to decide between Nick and Mia for the fifth point.

“I’ll do it.” Nick says easily, I see Dallas start to speak then stop himself. If we do this none of the options are fair, and I’m sure he doesn’t want Mia involved either. “Wait. So, you’re telling me, if something goes wrong you all could. What? Die? And I’d just have to watch?” Mia asks angrily, then looks over at Walker. “Yeah, no, that’s not happening.” Mia says and I look over at her.

“Mia, it’s her…” Mia cuts me off, with a hand to my face. “Let me be apart of it. Let me stand in the middle with you and Amy. That way if we all die, I’ll die with all of you guys too.” Mia pleads with them.

Amy’s eyes soften and she stares down Mia, then… Burst out laughing? Then shortly after Mia joins her.

I look between them like they’ve lost their minds.

Amy walks over to her, wrapping her in her arms, then pulls back. “We’re not doing anything that could hurt all of you so much. We’ll… Stick to the originally plan.” Amy says, as her laughter dies down. I swallow, not wanting

that for her at all.

“With all fairness Aims, I don’t think it should be up to just you. And I personally think with the hand you’ve been dealt, it’s worth a shot to try and make this happen for you.” Walker says, and Mia stands next to him nodding her head.

“I can’t ask you guys to risk your lives for this. I won’t.” Amy says, shaking her head. Dallas smiles at her, “You never asked. We want to do this.”

I smile at my family… Because that’s what we are… Family. From the second Dallas laughed at one of Amy’s jokes in the lunch line, we became something more then friends.

All of them nod their heads and smile at Amy, while she continues to shake her head no. “Maybe… maybe if this was a sure thing, I can see us giving it a try, but they’re too many variables. Losing my dad, wouldn’t even come close to comparing to losing one of you. While I’d like to get to know him, I don’t, and you all are my family, I can’t watch you get hurt.” Amy pleads.

“Look at it this way Aims, we have as great of chance dying tonight with the first plan. So, at least this way we might get something out of it.” Cole says half joking.

Amy still looks worried, ‘Let us do this Angel.’ I say in her head, and her face turns towards mine. ‘Let us try.’ She continues looking at me, then nods her head.

“Fine. What do we need to do?”
