Liam pushes Cole and Dallas off of him, “I’m fine!” He shouts, then stands turning towards me. His face lost to guilt and pain, causing my heart to break even after everything that’s happened.

He starts to slowly walk towards me; Dallas grabs his shoulder to stop him. Liam stops, closing his eyes as a low growl leaves his throat. “Dallas, I’m going to talk to her.” Liam grits out, then opens his eyes to look at me.

I stare into my mate’s eyes, I need to let him explain, even if it kills me.

I nod my head, and everyone walks out. Except Dallas who walks to the other side of the room and leans back against the wall, giving us as much privacy as his wolf will allow.

My eyes close as I feel Liam start to walk towards me. I’ve never hated this mate bond as much as I do right now. This need to be comforted by him, even though he’s the one who hurt me.

His hand lands lightly on my cheek and he lifts my head to meet his eyes. Reluctantly, I slowly open my eyes, and he opens up his emotions, lets me feel and hear everything going on inside him.

He closes his eyes and takes me back to everything that happened. I feel his disgust, his hate, his anger. I feel him try and get away, and the tie snapping shut on his wrist, making it impossible to pull away no matter how hard he tried.

Fear overtakes my very soul. Crippling me and nearly making me fall to my knees. I open my eyes, tears streaming down mine and glistening in his. “Your scared.” I state, looking down at his wrist and seeing the red line marking them.

He nods, looking into my eyes. “My eyes sharpen, and hate overtakes my soul, “We’ll find her.” I growl and he grabs my face at the cheeks and shakes his head. “I’m not scared of the witch, Angel. She’ll die.” He tells me and I look up at him confused.

His jaw tightens and a single tear falls down his cheek, “I’m scared of losing you. I can’t lose you.” He whispers and I grab his wrist under his mark and shake my head. “You’re not going to lose me.” I whisper back.

“I should have let you explain. I’m sorry. I should have trusted you.” I tell him and he shakes his head. “I’d have acted the same way.” He tells me and I swallow.

He leans down and places a gentle kiss on my lips as if testing if I’m still willing to love him.

I hate to admit, I would have loved him even if he had cheated on me. Left him, yes, but still loved him with all my soul, until my final days.

But I can’t be mad about what happened when he was so unwilling, forced.

The blood in my veins starts to boil. Starts to flame the spark in my soul I put to sleep many moons ago, Liam holds onto me tighter and slams his lips on mine. Trying to calm my soul and distracting me from the fire burning there.

His lips move smoothly against mine, lovingly, and full of passion as his feelings of how much he loves me swims through my veins and finally calm me down.

He reluctantly pulls away and leans his forehead against mine, “I’m done playing in to what this witch wants. She wants to pull us apart and wants us at odds. I’m done being away from you.” He whispers, his arm around

my waist pulling me closer.

A smile crosses my features, and I look up into his eyes, “Finally.” I breathe and he smiles. “I love you, Angel. The very air I breathe is for you. I can’t live this life without you, I’ve always known that.” He whispers and I lean up and gently kiss his lips. Slow and sweet, savoring being at one with my mate again. “I love you, Liam.” I whisper.

I hear Dallas groan behind Liam, “You guys are about to make my life so much harder.” He complains. Liam and I both smile at each other, “You chose this life, man.” Liam says to him, and I hear Dallas mumble under his

breath.

Liam pulls away from me and grabs my hand, as we both turn to look at Dallas. Dallas shakes his head, “ Whatever, I’m just glad we don’t have to hate you.” Dallas says looking at Liam.

Walker and Cole walk into the room, with Mia and Hazel right behind them, pushing them towards the kitchen.“ Speak for yourself.” Cole grunts, his hand clinging to his side as Walker limps next to him.

Liam’s eyes cast down and his guilt overwhelms me, “I’m so sorry.” He tells them. Pulling me behind him as he follows them to the kitchen.

Cole looks up at him glaring. “I’ll forgive you, when you kiss it and make it better.” Cole says keeping a straight face regardless of him joking.

Liam lets a small smile slip as he lets go of my hand and walks over to Cole, leaning over and going in to kiss his side. Cole pushes him away laughing, “Fine! Fine! I forgive you. Get the fuck off me.” Cole shouts and Liam laughs walking over to Walker. “You need a kiss too?” Liam jokes and Walker rolls his eyes. “I’d rather cut off my leg.” Walker deadpans.

Everyone laughs, and for a minute, it feels like old times. Like we don’t have a crazy witch determined to ruin everything we’ve ever accomplished.
